Pie Crust
I wish I could leave a better review. The waitress was very nice.
The food was just ok, bacon was crispy. I had a big piece of eggshell in my egg that I unfortunately found by biting down on it and it grossed me out. Pancakes had an odd flavor and the syrup was super gooey and thick. I didn’t eat much. Best part was the coffee.
We would normally go to copper creek or paradise village for breakfast, but thought we’d try this place since it just opened.
I can’t say I’d go back or recommend it. We should’ve waited for paradise village to open an hour later ugh.

Visiting the park we decided to stop by the Highlander. Saw on Yelp it was closed, well it’s very much in business. Somebody ought to fix that. Had the steak sandwich, really good. Our server, Ashley, I believe, was great. The bar looks great, live music on Saturday night. Only criticism was a few of their taps were out including the Amber my go to beer. Great place to visit when going to Rainier.

Came here looking for a solid breakfast and found it. The french toast w/bacon and eggs was well-cooked and quite filling, and I felt the price was reasonable.
Service was friendly, atmosphere was decent, overall a solid breakfast that improved my morning. Would come back for another hot breakfast when visiting Rainier.

Saturday evening winter dinner. I’m picky and would definitely come back when we’re in the area. Steak/potato/veggies and clam chowder were pretty good. My Asian chicken salad was nice.
Wait staff was excellent. Never thought that would matter but it certainly did. If I lived there or frequented the mountain he would bring us back for his friendliness.
Tried a place down the road, 30 minute wait to be seated when they closed in one hour. 35 minute wait for a steak in addition to a half hour table wait at the almost empty restaurant. Very strange.
Another place 12 minutes away had already shut down their grill one hour before closing.

Ordered 2 prime rib dips 1/9/2026 at 6:22pm to go service was great and atmosphere, just really busy and took them 15 min to even take my order. Got my order and went to cabin I rented for my son’s birthday. My son ate the prime rib sandwich and about 2-3 hours later he was so sick, he got food poisoning from the food. His wife didn’t eat her sandwich yet and had it in fridge for later thank goodness because she would have shared with my granddaughter who is only 2. My son is still sick and has been in and out of bathroom since. When they cook food I just want them to be careful so that people don’t get sick. It’s a serious issue when customers come for a visit and stop for good food and get sick. I even tried calling them and phone was shut off? I guess the the receipt Had wrong number.i even left a cash tip 10 dollars for service that they failed on.

We always stop when we visit the mountains and we have always enjoyed eating here. Fast friendly service and they are great with my kids. Last time we had a server named Josh and he truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We came back for breakfast the next day, and Patricia was an incredible server as well.

Had a great breakfast experience here this morning. Patricia was so kind and on top of things. The veggie scramble w/biscuit (incl. homemade blackberry jam!), hash browns, and a buttermilk pancake were all delicious, as well as the French toast and bacon. Breakfast ends at 12 here so we strongly recommend stopping in before leaving town.

Ate breakfast at Highlander before a day hiking at Sunrise Mt Rainier. Great service, food came out fast, and our waitress was so polite. Highly recommend! I got a biscuit and gravy, scrambled eggs with onions and peppers, and decaf coffee.

We were visiting Mt. Rainier and stopped by for breakfast. From the start, Patricia took good care of us. Our veggie scrambles, hash browns, homemade buttermilk biscuits, and blueberry jam were yummy. The pancakes were thick and fluffy, and my coffee was always full. We were all satisfied. If you’re in the area, stop by and support this great, rustic independently owned restaurant.

Everything was absolutely delish and our server was fantastic (on 2 occasions)! The burger was super yummy! We also tried the fries, baked beans, cole slaw, chili (absolutely amazing!!), clam chowder, wings… all great! The drinks were great too! Had a margarita, mule and blackberry smash! I would go back regularly if we lived in town. Bring quarters for darts too. Always fun!
