Awesome wings. The burger was second only to the best one I ever had. Extremely good. Great sports bar vibe. Nice gas “fireplace ” really adds charm and a little heat. Would definitely return.

Fun and inviting sports bar! No matter where you sit, a TV is visible. The atmosphere is great and the staff are always so friendly—every time we visit we end up laughing and chatting with at least one of them, which makes the experience even better. The food is consistently delicious and, and the drinks are fantastic. I especially love the espresso martini made with tequila—it’s a unique twist and so good! They also have amazing mocktails, which I really appreciate. Already looking forward to coming back and trying some of the new menu items!

Food was not worthy of another visit.
Adults ate cheese steak & shrimp tacos. Kids ate chicken fingers.

3 shrimp tacos were 4″ and although a small portion, tasted good.
Cheese steak was ok.
The fries were way to spicy for the kids to eat. (See the photos)

We arrived at 5 on 3/7/26 and place was 80% vacant & we were told needed to eat & be out by 6pm. Which we did.
We will never go back.

Will update pics when google permits.

Went for happy hour. The food was decent, nothing to write home about. The menu specifically stated that the perogies were “crispy” but as seen in my pic, that wasn’t the case. It’s fine either way, but don’t add that to the menu if it’s not true. (looked up menu after posting and noticed that perogies were taken off the menu). Portion sizes were good along with the service.

We had dinner reservation as a group on a busy Saturday night. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. A passing manager noticed immediately that something was off with our drink order and rectified it. (much appreciated) Our server was prompt and courteous and mostly attentive. (It was a busy night and I think she had several groups to take care of). There was disappointment in the teriyaki tofu, however we did not raise the issue with the server or the manager, but is the reason for the 4 stars in food. Overall, a really great experience and we will be back. Thank you!

The reason for the two stars is simply the portion for what you pay. I ordered the happy hour house fries (I forgot the actual name) for ten dollars, the portion was smaller than my hand. But they were tasty, the wait staff was nice, decor and environment was beautiful. The bartender was very good at her job as well. But I will not be returning because of the portion vs price.

Beware paying with credit card (ie how 90%+ of us pay for sit-down dining.) It’s in the bottom corner of the menu that they will add a 3% fee for credit, however it is easy to not recall that by the time the bill comes, as the menu is long gone. If I had noticed this fee in reviewing their menu online ahead of time, I would have not gone at all: if a restaurant is so miserly in their operations that they are passing along something that, this day and age, is the “cost of doing business”, there is something rotten going on.

Secondly, the name of this place is a bit unclear. The internet calls it “Highland Pub & Kitchen”, but the building itself is labeled “Highland Restaurant & Bar”. It’s also important to note that “Highland” is coming from its location on Highland Ave, and there is zero Scottish food on the menu. It replaced the Bernie’s that used to be in this location.

The food was ok. Good enough that I wasn’t disappointed, but not good enough to visit a second time. I had the GOAT burger, and my 80+ parents had the Jawn cheesesteaks… both sandwiches were “missing something” flavor-wise. For a $22 burger I expected “more”, or at least a burger so big I would have to cut it in half… it was just a normal sized somewhat bland burger I could easily fit in my mouth. Unfortunately, I had not realized that only the Brunch menu would be available until 3pm (arrived at 2pm on Superbowl Sunday) so was unable to try the more interesting items on the menu.

I stopped by for breakfast on a Saturday morning. I ordered the French toast with thick cut bacon. Both were good, I was surprised I didn’t need any butter for the French toast it was that moist and flavorful. The spicy mango cocktail was good and spicy. I would go here again but try the happy hour menu next.

This is an excellent neighborhood restaurant we go to regularly that keeps getting better. The bartenders are nice, good mix of draft beers, nice cocktails, and the happy hour is great value. Food has always come out fast and tastes great. The owner is friendly and a local resident who recently added a Philly sports theme to the menu and interior design which is a cool upgrade!

We came during happy hour one evening and sat at the bar. The whole restaurant looks great, very warm and inviting. The food is phenomenal. The cocktail drinks are pricey but look and taste fantastic. Happy hour snacks and beers are a great deal though. We ordered fish tacos, buffalo wings, edamame, spicy marg, and a lavender cocktail, and then switched to drafts. Overall service was great and the atmosphere top tier!
