Not from around here and thought it sounded good. That was a complete understatement! Everything we got was amazing! I’m not one to go outside the box and tried the “l”ll be your Huckleberry ” burger with the peanut butter….holly smokes was it good! Not at all what I expected.
Rattlesnake tailed were a wonderful twist on your typical jalapeño poppers. Then we topped it off with the Huckleberry crown desert. Again amazing (glaze on the donut was not my favorite) but over all very good!

Delicious BBQ joint with an outdoorsy decor made for a good night out. We were out of town and recommended this place by some locals, and it did not disappoint. The service was stellar and friendly, the look of the place was representative of the local environment and the outdoors, and the food was amazing. I thought the BBQ pulled pork was tender, juicy, and had a good smoky BBQ taste. The sauce was a good BBQ sauce, sweet and tasty. I tried some “Bakers Babies” which ended up being some baby baked potatoes that tasted tender and like a baked potato but worked well as a fry. I thing they are misnamed, but that’s just my opinion, but they were still good and a nice variety to your normal french fry side option.

Our family took us here to dinner when coming to town for a quick visit, and it was a good choice. Kayley was a great server. She didn’t hover too much, she was very attention and made sure our glasses were never empty. She helped suggest food items when we had questions. My wife and I shared huckleberry burnt ends with a loaded baked potato and green salad. I added the spicy bbq sauce and it was perfect for me, she had them as they came. All was very tasty. My daughter Beth had the sliced brisket with Mac and cheese and coleslaw. Yum. My son in law Lex had bacon burger. We ate everything. We even tried the soft drinks with the extras. I had something with water melon and lime. Beth had a drink with vanilla. I would come here again and recommend to others. Well done!

Couldn’t have had a better experience here. The food was top notch, the service was quick and attentive. The food came out fast and surpassed our expectations in every way. I got country fried steak and fries and loved them. My dad got the smoked prime rib and it was great too. The seasoning was a little different, but in a good way. The fried cheese curds and asparagus were great too. We’ll certainly be coming back.

Upon waking in we were warmly greeted by the host who sat us at our table. The interior decor was preen cool, I like all the wood beams and overall haw it was set up. The food on the other hand could use some help. Everything just seemed really dry. From the burgers to the Mac n cheese. It was just all off. The way I rate it with my wife is it’s one of those places I may want 1ce a year but probably not.

This place is super good! Might be my new favorite restaurant in Rexburg. I love all the cool drinks they got they also don’t serve alcohol so it’s a bit more family friendly than other places. It’s a little bit on the pricier side most meals are between $15-20 which wasn’t a problem for me because the food was delicious! I got the burger with brisket on it and it was so delicious, the burger was well cooked and the brisket had a great flavor. My wife got the sirloin which was also cooked perfectly and delicious! We got the appetizer plater as well because we like to try a little bit of everything, I would definitely recommend that if you’re having a hard time choosing. Definitely a great restaurant and we will be back!

I have to complain about my last experience at Hickory. My daughter and I were really excited to go get dinner there because prior experiences were great and very tasty! But Friday left us very disappointed! We use to love the appetizer sampler. Friday were ordered it expecting the same great taste and portions. You changed how you serve it causing the portion to be half of what it was – – but you charged the same price for half the portion! Very upsetting! Absolutely hate it when restaurants do this!! Doesn’t make me want to come back if I have to pay a high price for half the food. Not fair, not right! It’s bad business! We use to get this appetizer and there was plenty to share for three people. Friday, there was barely enough for two of us to enjoy it. Also, the cheese curds were so small you couldn’t even tell there was cheese in them. When I order fried chees curds, I expect cheese curds. Not tiny balls of fried batter with no cheese. Everything else was so-so. I felt like it was a waste of money. I expected the same great thing as the several times before. Instead, I got jipped. Very disappointing! It was not a good experience.

The Hickory absolutely delivers. The food is consistently delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The smoked meats are tender and packed with flavor, and the sides taste like real comfort food done right. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and attentive without ever feeling rushed. It’s the kind of place you walk out of already planning your next visit. Easily one of Rexburg’s best spots.

My husband and I enjoyed our meal here. He had sliced brisket, Mac n cheese, and Hope salad. He said they were all delicious. I had the pulled pork with cheese curds and baked potato. Delicious! Friendly service, fun environment, and great food. We will definitely go back when we are in town again!
