A rustic saloon style place. Known for BBQ foods. I love the menu and some of the names of meals after a few characters from BONANZA. I had the Lil’ Joe (photo) you add as much BBQ Sauce as you like . Great selection of beer.
Great Budweiser Clydesdales signage. It’s worth the Stop in Abilene Kansas ❣️
Home to the Greyhound Museum and Eisenhower’s Presidential Library and Museum ‼️

We arrived during the late lunch rush. We waited a few minutes for the table to be cleaned and prepped. Food was tasty. My husband had the sausage plate, I had the loaded cowboy fries. They had specials on drinks, but we passed on that as we were traveling.

Lovely hole in the wall place, old time feeling with the rustic decor and vintage bar. Some of the best BBQ I’ve had with tons of variety of sauces on the table. Kid friendly menu with multiple options as well.

Visited them on opening night. They had a great crowd and were busy. I ordered a full of the brisket with two sides (wild west slaw and fire pit corn) and my wife ordered a half Wood-Fired chicken with one side(trail style green beans). The BBQ and drinks were phenomenal. The fire pit corn was not what I was expecting. It was a little spicy but not to my liking. Cheers to them for their performance on opening night! Go give them a try, you won’t be disappointed! We’ll see you again soon!

Waited 50 minutes before even receiving our appetizer. Once we got our meals, everything was cold unfortunately. None of the food was even remotely warm. Food is not worth waiting almost an hour. Had to ask for silverware and napkins, and we were given a plastic fork and one napkin per person. Fries and cheese curds were good but were probably made frozen. Will not be coming back.

Food and service here was excellent. Three of us all had different entrees and everyone agreed all was good. Husband had the Lil Joe burger and was more than he could eat. Was loaded with meat. Only reason for 4 stars I thought the place had some kind of old or wet smell to it that I associate with old places.

Amazing food & excellent service! The Cowboy Salad is HUGE & delicious! Husband says the smoked sausage was the best he’s had anywhere. Our waiter was very good & he was busy! We will be back!

Ordered the full brisket, it was the worst ive had and im almost 50! It was dry, shredded and not sliced or tender like it should be. Had fries for my side and the portions are extra small, you might get less then a small frie from McDonald’s. I Ordered a extra side of fries (same thing).
The waitress was a nice girl and did her job well, just the food was terrible.

What a great place! Was on a road trip and only one night in Abilene. Service was phenomenal and we had the brisket (awesome) with apple slaw (mixed it with brisket). Beers cold, on tap, and just a wonderful dinner with my traveling companion. Wish we were staying longer, but couldn’t have asked for a better spot to eat and enjoy a couple of beers. BBQ Sauces were great too!

Place is dark. Nothing but sports on the many TVs. Waitress not at all friendly or helpful. Every question I asked was answered with “ I don’t eat (fill in the blank) but it’s one of our best sellers.”
I asked for a plain burger- no cheese no lettuce no onions. It came with lettuce, tomatoes, onions. I asked for very rare so to give credit where it’s due, it was very rare. The fries were good. Seasoned and crispy.
I won’t go back
