On a mission to try the best smash burgers out there, and the one at Heydey definitely makes my top list. I love this place — it’s like diner meets cocktail lounge meets burger joint, and I’m obsessed. Where else can you get a big, meaty smash burger and a well‑crafted martini at the same time. Truly the best of both worlds.
It’s centrally located with a small parking lot in the back, plus plenty of street parking. The fries are crinkle‑cut (my favorite), the ranch is solid, and I’d recommend the Caesar salad — it has a fun twist on the classic. They also have a small outdoor seating area, they’re super dog‑friendly, and the vibe is casual enough that walk‑ins work great.
A must‑stop if you’re chasing great smash burgers.

The French fries were good. Yipee
Chicken sando was cooked aight and but they forgot to season it. Yeah that’s right. It was just like chicken bro.
The salad was like super aight. Flavorful but I didn’t really want to finish it.
And the western bacon cheeseburger was extremely aight. Nothing wrong with it, nothing great about it.

This was my first time at The Heyday. I can’t say better things about this place! I’m a dirty Martini girl and honestly a little picky. When I say this was THE BEST martini I’ve ever had. I’m serious. Rachael is the most amazing bartender and Taylor had incredible service. Our burgers and fries were amazing. We’ll definitely be coming back!!!!!

This is a cute little spot with only about 11 tables. The funky decor and casual atmosphere are a great place to stop for lunch. We couldn’t pass up the $20 burger and martini special… one of the best smash burgers we’ve ever had. It comes with caramelized onion and 1000 island, and we completed the meal with crinkle cut fries. Everything was served fresh, hot, and under ten minutes. Highly recommend! My husband said why can’t we give it 6 stars?!

What a delightful burger and cocktails joint! The service was excellent and everyone incredibly friendly and welcoming! We ordered a bunch of smash burgers, fries and onion rings. All of the food was great. I am a huge fan of any burger with thousand island, grilled onions and lettuce! They are also dog friendly which gets a huge thumbs up from me!

Quote from my mother after her first bite: “I’d given up on beef and thought I’d imagined how good it tasted.”
HeyDay does burgers RIGHT and the meat was so fresh and delicious, the bacon thick. It was the best burger we’d had in a long time. Our server was lovely and they staff was attentive as they were able to be considering we were seated just before a rush of people came in. Great cocktails too, and you can’t beat a $20 martini and burger!

Always hits the spot after landing in Palm Springs! It’s such a delicious smash burger…patty is seasoned well and grilled perfectly; yummy sauce and just everything right! They even made my son a kids version. Or for $9, make it an adult meal with a martini…because, why not?!
The cook on the crinkle fries are just perfect too. Crisped and seasoned just right!
Cool and casual, old school diner vibe. Quick and friendly service. Always a nice little stop for us here!!

A+ Recommended by the Fleur Noire as an amazing smash burger. True enough. I had the lemondrop Martini special and it was amazing. There are only 5 entrees on the menu and 3 of them are smash burgers, but that’s enough when you do one thing very well. Highly recommend.

If you’re looking for a great smash burger in Palm Springs, then head over to The Heyday on North Palm Canyon Drive near Vista Chino. Loved the double smash burger, crinkle cut fries, and the tasty Michelada. The Heyday also serves some local craft beer and specialty cocktails, as well as a Martini & Burger Special. Definitely recommend checking this place out on your trip to PS.

Don’t understand what’s the hype about this place because the food is Medicare, basic smash burger and the veggie burger was extremely oily served on white toast bread, basic fries and salad. The price came down close to 70$ which I think is very high for what this is an over priced shake shack!
