Absolutely incredible dining experience! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was beyond amazing — every dish was beautifully presented and packed with amazing flavor.
The wine selection was impressive and perfectly curated, making it easy to find the ideal pairing. And the dessert? Simply the best — the perfect sweet ending to a flawless meal..must try the sticky fig pudding with homemade butterscotch sauce.
Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

A huge thank you to Angela and crew who hosted our post wedding lunch on Valentine’s Day. The food was amazing, but we already knew that as we’ve been previously to the Herring Room and couldn’t think of a better location to have our reception. The adults had food envy over the kids lasagne and chocolate brownie.
The booking process and communication was fantastic. We didn’t need a wedding cake as we had their delicious desserts. All our guests were so impressed with the food and the atmosphere. Angela was a fantastic host/MC. We look forward to many more visits to the Herring Room and we know where our yearly anniversary meal will take place.

The food here is amazing. The fish here is a must-order. The pasta tastes very well. The wagyu beef is tender and has a good portion. The sides are also very impressive as the chips are served hot and crispy. Staff are attentive, helpful and friendly. The environment is nicely decorated, and the bathrooms are well maintained. Overall a good experience as it is close to Manly Beach and we could have a walk after the meal.

We were here for only a week and we came back twice!!!!!!!! Because it was absolutely fantastic, Angela and Rod who are the owners really know how to make you feel like you’re in your local even though it was our first time in Sydney. We went through almost the full menu (within our two visits) and we wish we could have come back to try the rest, but we will definitely be back on our next trip to Australia – thank you again for the stunning food wine and VIBE !! The chef Danny got us the TBone steak for the second time we came and we were not disappointed absolutely amazing just gras and wagyu with the fennel sauce was PHENOMENAL

A wonderful lunch. The entrees of beef tartare and lamb ribs were delicious. Mains of red snapper and duck. The duck was the star and beautifully cooked. Customers ring ahead and order it. Wise idea.

Came here for my mum’s last night in Sydney and honestly, it did not disappoint. Everything from the staff, to the food to the venue was 10/10. Our servers Jennifer and Rodney were attentive and conversational even though it was super busy! The only thing that topped them, which was already hard to do, was the food. We had the scallops, the lamb, the seafood pasta, the red snapper and the sticky fig pudding – wow wow wow. A new menu for them as of a few days and they’ve already hit the nail on the head, so massive compliments to the chefs Noki and Tenzon. Honestly the best food I’ve had in Sydney so far! My mum loved the scallops so much, her licking the shell clean convinced the table behind us to get them as well!

Had a lovely experience at The Herring Room celebrating an 18th birthday. Staff were kind, unrushed and transported us with their knowledge of the menu. Food was fresh and expertly curated. Yum!
