For appetizers, we enjoyed the crab cakes and a Caesar salad with chicken. For the main course, we had the ribeye (the mashed potatoes were amazing!) and the chicken breast with a delicious mushroom sauce, roasted potatoes, and veggies. The portions were so generous we couldn’t finish everything, but the leftovers were just as good today. Truly a little gem for a special night out!
Given it’s mid-town, modern atmosphere, drinks, music and food, you’ll leave satisfied and ready to plan your next trip. I’m a lover of music and selection was carefully curated so to compliment the atmosphere and cuisine. My reservation was on a Tuesday around 5:30pm which allowed me privacy and a semi-quiet climate to enjoy my dinner.
I ordered the crab cakes and lemon garlic shrimp for appetizers and paired it with a white cranberry cosmopolitan. Wow, my taste buds were tickled pink. The freshness, presentation and paired flavors were absolutely amazing. The heirloom cherry tomatoes and lemon butter sauce were the winners for the lemon garlic shrimp.
For my entree, I ordered the beef short ribs and they were nothing short of delightful! Served with mashed potatoes and brocolli, everything was seasoned to perfection; I was able to separate the meat with the tny pull of a fork. If you’re ever visiting, order a side of bread for sauce dipping and don’t forget to ask for Chayenne. She set the bar pretty high for preceding waitresses. Very attentive and accommodating, she’ll definitely ensure your dining experience is worth the visit.
Overall, I’d rate this restaurant a 10/10 and would highly recommend.
Pass.
We ordered the fried green tomatoes. They were good. The slaw that came with it was not.
We got the garden side salads. They are pretty but there were large chucks of purple onion in the center. I was able to substitute blue cheese dressing.
I got the veal parmesan. The portion size was generous but the veal was overcooked and a bit tough and the pasta could have used a bit more sauce. It would also have been nice to have freshly ground pepper and some parmesan cheese but that wasn’t an option.
It’s just a few little things that could have improved the experience for me. The speakeasy sangria was really good.
The staff was very hospitable and created a wonderful dining experience. The food was delicious, well crafted and served quickly! Looking forward to trying out there many specials the next time we come back. Highly recommend!
The sea scallops were perfectly cooked, topped with a unique and delicious asparagus straw topping, and on a rich bed of risotto. The NY Strip was cooked inconsistently and was lacking proper seasoning and the red wine Demiglace portion was far too small for a 14oz strip. I found myself having to scrape for bowl for the last quarter of the steak. It was also cooked medium rare in some parts, and over cooked on the outside.
The desserts, a creme brûlée and chocolate cake were divine and were gone before the server could get back to us. Cocktail service was absolutely fantastic too. They were extremely well made and hassle free.
The service was also excellent. Our waitress was extremely sweet and charming, and did not miss a beat with service. Food and drinks were also brought promptly and was piping hot.
4.5/5 stars
We were a party of eight. Once seated, everything went downhill. The filet was way undercooked, sent back, and then came out underdone again. We barely saw our server, McKayla, for long stretches of time and at one point had to go back to the bar to get our own drinks.
Appetizers took an extremely long time to come out, and while we were told the kitchen was “way backed up,” no effort was made to manage expectations or check in.
We asked twice to speak with a manager/owner (Nicole), and she never came over to talk to us.
We also told our server twice that we were celebrating my dad’s 83rd birthday, and nothing was done to acknowledge it—no gesture, no acknowledgment—other than asking if we wanted a dessert menu.
Overall, the entire experience was incredibly disappointing. Poor service, poorly cooked food, and no accountability. We will not be returning.
