I met my sister and her husband, who were visiting Winter Park for a museum trip with their church group and my brother-in-law suggested we try The Hen and Hog. Some of us walked since it was just a short distance from the museum, while others drove over. It’s a cozy little spot, but the staff did a great job accommodating our large group of about 30, thanks to the arrangements we made ahead of time.
Our server, AJ, was a delight—friendly, organized, and full of energy. She had a great system for taking our orders efficiently, but the owner kindly reminded us that this is truly a made-to-order restaurant, which is rare these days. You can really tell the food is freshly prepared.
Most of our group ordered their famous smash burgers, and everyone raved about them. I had the ribs, which were tender and flavorful, served with a unique coleslaw that stood out from the usual. My sister enjoyed their huge house salad, and others at the table mentioned how good the beet and chopped salads were. The only thing I’d change is that I wish there were more fries—they were that good!
The blue cheese dressing on the salads was clearly house-made, and it got several compliments. Overall, if you’re in the mood for a delicious, freshly cooked meal—whether it’s a burger, salad, or something from the grill—The Hen and Hog is definitely worth a visit.

Been wanting to try this place for months. Just didn’t live up to the hype. Burger was mid, had no crust like a smash should and there was just nothing special about it. Chicken fingers were really just okay. The fry was really shallow to it had no crunch at all and was like grilled chicken with all the calories of a fried chicken. Fries were fine. I’m a sucker for homemade sauces, and we tried 3 but only liked the ranch. Best thing we had was the Mac and cheese but even then the portion was not worth the price. Service was good and staff was kind.

This place was amazing. Such a hidden gem. The staff were so friendly and attentive. It’s an all scratch so expect a little wait but it’s worth the wait. Wonderful complex flavors. You can tell the chef isn’t just making the food but loves making the food. The care and passion shine through. I will be a repeat customer.
P.s. Great music taste

Absolutely delicious. Rosemary honey was not something we thought we’d ever want, but it was fantastic. The sausage biscuit and egg sandwich (once combined with a jelly as it was a smidge dry) was one of the best sausage biscuit sandwiches I have ever had. The fried chicken was juicy, perfectly cooked with great seasoning. Also got some hush puppies which were great. Food so good, sitting now 2 days later and waiting on an order for a smash burger and Cuban sandwich (authentic cuban bread from la segunda central in Miami). Also, cute place and a really nice hostess, Athena, who took the time to explain their menu. Only issue I have is that I took this long to try this place. Might become one of my favorite places in Orlando.

We had a great lunch here! The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and the fries were 10/10 crispy and fresh. Staff was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. We definitely will be returning!

Ordered the cheese curds, fried pickles, fish and chips. Everything was absolutely delicious! When I first ordered the fish and chips, I didn’t even think to ask if they had malt vinegar as a condiment. The manager(owner?) was awesome and went out to get some for me. I was shocked!
Everything came out hot and fresh. This isn’t a fast food restaurant, so it took a small wait for the food to hit our table. I’ve read other reviews and if people wanted faster food, they should go to McDonald’s!
10/10 I will be coming back on my next trip down to Orlando, I’m excited to try more items on the menu

My husband and I come here nearly every weekend! The food is THAT good. I always get the smash burger, I absolutely recommend it. The cheese curds is a MUST for an appetizer.
The owner is personable and I can tell he is a hard worker to ensure the food quality is on par every single time. I love this place and recommended this to all my friends who love Wisconsin style food!

The food was good. The service was slow. We waited over 45 minutes for our food.
You also must pay and tip before you even know what type of service you’re gonna get.
I also didn’t understand why we had to bust our own table and tip. What are we tipping for? We requested every refill we requested napkins. We requested syrup, even though we ordered waffles.
I understand we ordered a lot of food. We also ordered a burger and fries that are not below. If it was not prepaid, we would’ve left.
