The Heist is a bar and food cart pod in the Woodstock neighborhood of Portland. We took over the old US Bank building that had an actual heist occur back in 2010. We have a large indoor seating area along with outdoor that is covered and heated as well. We are a really fun place to enjoy great food, beer, cocktails, and events. Bring the kids and dogs – there is something for everyone!

Which food carts are really worth giving a shot over at The Heist?

It’s like $7 or $8, filling, kinda trashy but in the best way possible, and I literally crave it it’s so tasty.

Visiting from out of state and this was a fun stop. Good choice of food carts outside, and the brew choices inside were fantastic! On the left of the photo is the Pumpkin Spice Cider I got by Portland Cider Company. Next to a mead or cyser, it’s now my favorite cider. When going to the bathroom, I stumbled upon this little game room in the back with a handful of arcard games, including I think 5 oldschool pinball machines. There was a quarter machine on the wall behind the door. The Simpsons pinball machine was the best and gave you the most play. We got some Mediterranean food from one of the food trucks outside and it was hot and fresh.

We came here before a few minutes closing, and every single cart was closed, except for fresh and funky, which was absolutely delicious, do not sleep on there next level veggie burger. It’s homemade! The bar was open, but only beer and shots were available. We totally understand and we were not made to rush as we enjoyed ourfood and drink on the patio while they close up around us. Tons of space, both indoor and outdoor and lots of great options.

We are so lucky to have this place as it it’s wonderfully appointed and lots of space for families and large groups but also offers large indoor dining, outdoor dining and a massive variety of food we so desperately needed in the Woodstock area. The theme is brilliant as it was an old bank. The details of how they themed and decorated the place makes it so special. There is a vault you can go into, they re purposed the spaces into vendor stalls as well as turned it into furniture. There is even an armored truck with robbers decorated outside. So good. Stop by have some food and a drink. It’s great.

Visited The Heist for the first time this past Saturday and it was so nice to see it super busy! There’s a ton of food carts to choose from, including Bake on the Run, Don Bigote, Golden Triangle, Ali’s Hot Chicken, Bark City BBQ, and so much more.

We took our dog and were happy to see a few dog water and poop bag stations. Highly recommend this food cart pod.

There are many unique cart pods in Portland. The Heist is top of the heap for 2026. Bark City BBQ and The Golden Triangle (Thai-Lao) present favorite. Visit and pick out your favorite.

I’m here most days to get some work done in the amazing lit space (gotta get that vitamin D). The food is amazing, but the staff inside is even better. It’s a very welcoming atmosphere. Hillary is the sweetest barista you will ever meet and she already knows what you want. Woodstock is lucky to have such a crew.

This place is a total score! A former bank turned into a food cart paradise with a bar? Genius. The indoor-outdoor dining setup is perfect for any weather, and the food cart selection is so good it’s practically criminal.

Speaking of criminal, there’s a hilarious car outside featuring a mannequin dressed like a bank robber—definitely adds to the vibe. Oh, and you can actually walk into the old bank vault and see the safety deposit boxes, which is both cool and mildly unsettling (like, whose secrets are in there?).

Bonus points for being dog-friendly, so my pup can join in on the heist… I mean, fun. Five stars for delicious food, quirky vibes, and making a bank robbery feel oddly wholesome!

Wowsers upon Bowsers ya’ll, the Heist Food Carts are of the chain. An absolutely wonderful way to spend a meal with friends and family. Whether your trying to fit in the dietary restrictions of a group, just looking to solo a succulent lunch or want a chill place to grub down on a date night (perhaps taking a stroll through gorgeous SE afterwards) well Heist has you covered Hunnies!
I’ve personally eaten at several of these carts and haven’t been disappointed yet, I may sound a lil biased tho cuz the one place that stands out in my heart is Nama Himalayan (the best noodles I’ve had in years). Do not skimp out or pass this place up. The service is top notch, the food is absolutely amazing and the owner is kind, compassionate and knows Her way around that kitchen Hunnie. Everytime I stop by my mouth waters even before I get to the window thinking about that hot and spicy deliciousness (my go to has been: Chowmein, extra veg/tofu, spicy). The dumplings are also not to be understated, super yummers.
If you find yourself out on Woodstock ya’ll should definitely stop by and give Heist a walk down. If it was me tho, I would make it a destination Hunnie!

This place is wonderful. Great selection of food carts, so hard to make a decision sometimes. The carts have a huge awning that protects against the rain Great bar area and excellent seating inside. Outdoor heated areas as well! We come here whenever we can. We live 20 minutes away. It’s so worth it!

I’ve been here a few times and love the selection of food trucks and I’ve never been disappointed in the food. Unfortunately the Heist made a poor decision and no longer allows the food trucks to serve beverages to force customers to go to the bar. I was there with my family who wanted Thai tea and other specialty drinks we find at food carts. With the confusion we stood in the long line at the bar where every customer wanting anything but water is forced to stand in the way of the large crowd. We waited in line for 10 minutes only to find a bar menu and wanting to order drinks for kids. The bartender rudely told us if we weren’t ready to order then to get out of line rather than making suggestions or offering a child friendly option to a large family of paying customers who just also waited in the slow line. We were not trying to inconvenience other customers just get some customer service is all. Sadly this no longer feels like a family establishment but rather a busy sports bar. But mostly I left feeling bad for the food venders who are surely losing a large amount of their income to the greedy Heist owners who have disallowed them to sell the drinks that pair with the food they sell. They are certainly living up to their name and as for my family we won’t be returning.
