Love this new spot! Great vibe and decor with some local art and the service was so fast and friendly!
Food was excellent, especially the salmon dip and sourdough bread for me and the kids demolished their plates too (chicken and waffles, grilled cheese).
Great beverage selection and bar staff – rhubarb Collins was really tasty and some fun bourbon/whiskey pours, too!

Stopped by The Hedge Counter and Cocktails and it was fantastic. The deviled eggs were seriously some of the best I’ve had, and the chicken and waffles were spot on—crispy, flavorful, and just the right balance of sweet and savory. The cocktails were also great and clearly made with care.
Such a positive addition for Morganton, NC. Places like this make the local food scene better for everyone. Definitely worth checking out—we’ll be back.

We went to The Hedge on their soft opening night and wow—everything was amazing. The deviled eggs were mouth-watering (I could’ve ordered them 10 more times). The Brussels sprouts, Caesar salad, garlic aioli fries, and lemon pepper fried chicken sandwich were all so good.
The cocktails were top tier—a super refreshing Moscow Mule and a delicious spicy margarita.
Service was quick, the atmosphere is chef’s kiss, and the patio is roomy and going to be perfect for summer.
Such a great addition to the area. Already can’t wait to go back! ✨

Great atmosphere and excellent food/cocktails at this new addition to Downtown Morganton! Our favorites so far were the Rhubarb Collins cocktail, the Smash Burger, the Smoked Salmon Dip, and the Deviled Eggs. We were digging the vibe, especially on the back patio with string lights that added to the evening ambiance. We had several kids with us and we were surprised that all of them cleaned their plates (which is rare)! Can’t wait to go back and try some more soon…
