Five stars isn’t enough for The Heavenly Donut Co.! Their maple bacon donut is pure bliss—crispy, smoky bacon on top of a warm, pillowy donut with that rich maple glaze… unreal. It’s the perfect sweet–savory combo that somehow tastes even better with every bite. I’ve been back three weekends in a row just for that donut (and I’m plotting weekend #4). The staff is friendly, the shop smells like happiness, and everything is fresh. If you try one thing, make it the maple bacon donut—you’ll be hooked!

The reviews were good, so we had high expectations, but unfortunately we were disappointed. The donuts were dry, lacked flavor, and had an oily taste. There were plenty of staff on duty, but they seemed more focused on completing other orders than assisting walk-in customers. We were asked to wait “just a moment,” which normally wouldn’t be an issue, but while we were eating our donut, more staff came out from the kitchen area, making the wait feel unnecessary.

We decided to go a little crazy and we ordered one of everything. We aren’t regretting that decision. Our top rated donuts would be the (#1 vote by group) Chocolate covered Bismark, raspberry filled powdered donut, the French toast donut (so good!), and then my youngest loves the donut holes and the chocolate donut with chocolate glaze and chocolate sprinkles (triple chocolate by name), the apple fritter, the HUGE cinnamon roll…there just isn’t a bad one in the bunch. Highly recommend. My husband and their coffee and said it was good as well.

Hands down, the best donuts in Birmingham, nothing else even comes close. Whether we’re grabbing a dozen to bring home for breakfast or kicking off the weekend with a family date inside the shop, Heavenly Donut Company never disappoints. The donuts are always fresh, the variety is incredible, and the atmosphere feels like home. This place has become a go-to tradition for our family, and we look forward to it every time. If you’re in Birmingham and haven’t tried Heavenly yet… you’re missing out.

Great doughnuts, the apple fitter was delicious, the oreo is awesome and chocolate glazed with exquisite. The dough is very soft. Very clean place, great environment, friendly, good service. They have parking lot. We will cone back again.

The doughnuts appeared dry and lacked any flavor. Tried the Old Fashioned and the Blueberry Cake. The Blueberry Cake had a very heavy greasy aftertaste. We check out local doughnuts places when we travel. I would not recommend going out of your way for this place.

20230329 Didn’t think I was able to stop by until I realized that this was on my way home!! The donuts looked delicious and I was hoping they will have the banana wafer looking donuts, and the lady who helped me said that they will be available in the Summer … but I won’t be here . I got the lemon lavender and keylime donuts. The meno flavor and lavender flavor are very light. The donut with a hole is dense, kind of like cake. The keylime donut has no hole, and it’s softer and tasted more like bread. I like the donut with no hole better than the one with the hole. I can’t taste the keylime until I got to the center… keylime jelly!!! It’s pretty good. I like the keylime donuts better than the lemon lavender donut. Definitely come here for the experience.

Im not a big donut person but when I gave these out to my real estate clients for a fall treat I tried them myself and woah, they were lovely. I got a fall variety pack and they were perfect with coffee while visiting friends. Delicious and fun treat!

The best apple fritters ever! You can actually taste moist pieces of real apples and cinnamon spice mixed in a tender dough and lightly covered in perfectly sweetened glaze. My guilty pleasure!
