The Old Firehouse is a beautiful space rich with Western heritage and serves as a warm backdrop to some of the Western Slope’s finest dining experiences. Also a versatile location in the heart of Ridgway, Colorado, the Old Firehouse also offers impeccable events of all kinds.

The food was superbly prepared and artfully presented. Lovely edible flowers grown in the greenhouse on site adorned the table as well as the cocktails. Atmosphere was cozy yet modern-rustic with good acoustics and great music playing. Top notch service; classy act by the bartender surprising me with a complimentary D&D (designated driver) mocktail that was delicious with notes of pineapple and Basil! (see photo) Only constructive advice would be to reprint the menus with slightly darker colored ink so that they are more easily read in with the low lighting. Thank you to the wonderful Pat O’Leary for his vision for this property (you will forever be missed) and to Marti O’Leary for bringing Pat’s vision to completion. To think that back in the day (70s/80s), there used to be a single wide mobile there next to the old firehouse that housed the Town Hall in which my Mother worked as the Town Clerk.

Great food Ann service that I think will continue to improve as this new addition settles in. The building is a gorgeous modernization of the historic fire house. It’s been packed each time we’ve been there and the acoustics have been good. Opening night new had duck and chicken-both were great. Last night we had pork chop and beet and burratta salad-also great. Cocktails are well done and presented. The pricing must be great because each time we are pleasantly surprised at the bill! It’s a great addition to town.

Super yum! We were greeted with the ultra-flavorful mother broth, so nourishing! We ordered the hearth burger (wow, the garlic aoili!!!) and mushroom risotto as well as the coffee for adults warm cocktail. Delicious food, great service, lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the food and drink menu. You can tell a lot of love goes into the experience and cuisine.

If you are looking for a spot to have a wedding reception in South West Colorado, I highly recommend The Old Firehouse.
My wife and I had our wedding reception here on 10/19/2024, we were their first wedding and the team absolutely crushed it. The menu they curated for us was exceptional. Robin, was very responsive, kind, and worked well with our wedding coordinator. The space was beautiful, and the staff was very attentive.
We went back for Lunch and Dinner post wedding and they continued to deliver. Their Duck Confit Poutine on the lunch menu was unreal, and a great deal considering a standard Burger at Ouray Brewer is $19.
If you go to dinner do not skip the Oysters! Cocktails are next level.
It makes me happy to see good food and people coming through Ridgway.

They do not believe in seasonings here, nor enjoy any type or constructive criticism. left hungry. Not happy about paying 20+ dollars for fettuccine noodles that come out mushy. Explained to the waitress and manager how my noodles were mush and they said “sorry”. Pretty place but 0/10 on the food.

Waste of my money and time,. I came into this restaurant with high expectations after I help set it up for the owner the summer of 2024. Ordered the trout special and house fettuccine. The noodles were mushy along with the lack of seasoning throughout both dishes. I pulled a bone out of my mouth with every single bite I took of the trout. I mentioned these issues and was told “sorry” then left to wonder whether they were going to take care of the inconvenience or just throw the bird up. If you got a few drinks in you then this is the place to go, if your going for quality dining experience/food then stay clear.

Wow! Fantastic in all respects. They pulled out all the stops in the design and implementation of this beautiful restaurant. The food is awesome. I had the short rib and is was the best I’ve ever had, melt in your mouth tender, no knife required, and super flavorful. The ambience and decor are warm and welcoming, and the wait staff are super friendly and attentive. I just can’t recommend this place enough. It is certainly not inexpensive, but I think it is a bargain for what you get; you could go to a lot of other high end places and pay more and get much less for your money.

The ambiance is 10/10 and the food is very good- still overpriced if you ask me but that’s true for everything in this area. The service however is not consistent. The first time I went, the waitress was knowledgeable and overall was a great experience. The second time made it so I don’t even want to go back. A restaurant at this caliber, I was expecting them to at least offer to take our coats and put them on the empty coat rack (December so we had big bulky coats). They didn’t, that’s fine I can overlook that. Then, when my husband ordered pork, the waitress asked him how he wanted it cooked. Crickets at our table, and then my MIL replied politely “cooked”. For those reading this that don’t know, chicken and pork have to be cooked, there is no “medium rare” in this case. The pork is almost $40 and the waitress clearly wasn’t trained. Then we ordered apps and later our main dishes. But they brought out our main dishes before we had even finished our appetizers. I’m not someone who expects perfection at a restaurant, but this particular restaurant flaunts itself on its level of sophistication and I just don’t think the service matches that. I probably won’t be going back because I left that $350 meal feeling extremely disappointed!!

Party of 10. Confused service with 3 different servers. Tried to provide hostess with 2 credit cards ahead of time to split the bill and avoid embarrassing routine with the rest of our party, and was told I would have to take that up with the waitress ( this is a routine courtesy provided by every fine dining restaurant I have ever visited ) so then had to chase her around ( I was informed where I might be able to intercept her if I was quick about it ).One guest given well done burger ordered medium rare. Incorrect beer delivered to guest and charged $9.00 for it. Waitress acknowledged error but charged us because we ” didn’t send it back “. C’mon people. The bill came to $950 and that’s your attitude? These are all rookie moves for a restaurant that appears to be on the chopping block. Unoccupied interior other than the bar area. Some of the dishes quite good, but ruined by amateur hour.
