My husband and I visited the Hart and the Hunter for a relaxing dinner last night before seeing a show at the Showbox. Around 5:30 on a Saturday night we had our choice of any seat in the place, but it slowly filled up. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We started with cocktails, the “She dragged me here” sounds funny but it was so light and refreshing. The perfect spritzer for a summer afternoon. My husband enjoyed his pepper-rimmed Bloody Mary. He ordered the fish and chips which were a good portion size and very crispy, perfectly seasoned. I ordered a turkey sandwich with a delightful, simply dressed side salad and the most amazing tomato soup. You could taste every flavor down to how they roasted the tomatoes. We ended the night with cappuccinos and a slice of the most delectable strawberry pie. Sweet, tart, perfectly balanced. Each bite of our meal tasted hand crafted like it was made from fresh ingredients. Our total was $95 and I felt it fair because of the excellent laid back service, quaint ambiance, and delicious food. I highly recommend eating here if you get the chance.

Cute and old fashioned atmosphere with yummy food. We dined for breakfast and were pleased with the results. Short and sweet menu options to choose from within walking distance to a lot of great local spots.

We stayed at the Palihotel, and in the lobby, it has a door that leads to The Hart and the Hunter. The food is delicious. We enjoy sitting at the bar, the wait staff is very nice and accommodating. I had eggs with biscuits and gravy, and it was very tasty. I had never had a sweet version of this dish, but I enjoyed every bite. We came back another day for dinner and had the Palicobb, and it was one of the best salads I had ever had. The greens were fresh with thin sliced turkey, eggs, bacon, and perfectly sliced avocado with a light sherry vinegarette dressing that was absolutely delicious

This is our first time dining here. It is a very cute restaurant. We ordered mushroom w/ omelette, corn beef harsh, tea and coffee. Loved their homemade jams and biscuits. Great food and great service. The hotel next door is very cute with nice decor. Definitely will come back again!

The food made my palette explode. I did the prixe fix menu. The mussels, steak, and dessert absolutely blew my mind. The chef came out and chatted me up. He loves the places food can take you. The bartender Felippe was awesome. Kept a watchful eye in me, made my experience amazing.

So, so good! Took a bit to be seated. Our waitress, Ashley, was busting her tail. Seems they needed to staff a little better for the Sunday morning crowd in late August. But the coffee was good, and the food came out fast. I got the odd-sounding carrot griddle cakes, and they were delicious!! Light but filling. Good portion size. My husband had the eggs benedict, and it was classic and flavorful. The biscuits are to die for. I got cupcakes from the shop across the street, and the lady in there sang the praises of Chef John here at H&H. She was right. Thanks, y’all!

Cutest restaurant attached to an adorable hotel. Went for a late breakfast, early brunch and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. Loved that they try to incorporate local foods, like breecher cheese and foraged mushroooms.

It’s my first time here and it’s apparently attached to the boutique Polihotel. TH&tH is decorated in that nouveau vintage style with deep mustardy chartreuse vinyl button-backed low armchairs with tacs in the waiting area. There’s a farmhouse table and many faux marble-top diner tables which with their chrome trim and steel bases, mimic the Formica ones of yore.
