What a good time! Food was great— we ordered steak egg rolls, buffalo chicken dumplings and a burger— everything was fantastic. We didn’t have a server though. Anytime we needed something I’d have to go up to the bar and ask, not sure if it’s always like this or just the night we went in. Definitely a cozy little spot to check out when visiting Mystic.

It’s quiet, quaint and just downright fun.
Stop in for a quiet pint and a bite to nosh on – tons of options for pub fare.
Lots of on tap options as well as bottles. Limited wine menu but a decent liquor selection.
Seating is spaced out but limited and the bar is small. The perfect place to cozy up and read a book by the fire, or break into song with a Sea Shanty and some Salty Dogs!

We stopped by this place to get a quick drink, the atmosphere is great the service was amazing and the bartender Maggie did a phenomenal job. If you happen to be in mystic ct, swing by this place for excellent food great service and a warm comfy atmosphere.

Got the Hounds Bite, which is a burger with corned beef and Swiss cheese, and asked for curry sauce for the fries, which was flavored very nicely. The fries were thick cut and crispy and the burger and corned beef were cooked very nicely. The service was warm and helpful and the prices were very decent considering it was the middle of Mystic.

It’s good to have a local pub, and the Harp and Hound is a good one to have. Intimate atmosphere, and probably the best pour of Guinness in Mystic. Good selection of other taps, too, full bar.
Plus, the kitchen is a hidden gem if you’re in the mood for traditional pub food – might be the best fish’n’chips in town. With the addition of outside tables due to COVID, it’s an awesome place to catch a little warmth for an afternoon pint.

A classic dive bar… the drinks were strong but it was around 3:00 PM so maybe three others at the bar. The other (local?) clientele clearly were familiar with one another and I sense that energy may not be compatible with all people.
Worth a try if you’re feeling adventurous and want to play the jukebox. Could be fun for a night cap?

The Harp and Hound is a great pub tucked around the corner on the main street in Mystic. Just as you’re ready to collapse from the endless shops, you’ll find traditional pub favorite food, cold beer, and lively entertainment. The bartender greeted us, made us two delicious bloodies, and we knew we’d be back. Everyone was friendly, and the food looked delicious.

If you like dark old school drinking holes, this is the place. The bartender poured the perfect half and half. Best I’ve ever seen. Very cozy low-key tavern.

The food is great and the atmosphere is nice. A great spot for classic pub food. Above all, the service was absolutely amazing. I cannot express how attentive the waitress was. I unfortunately did not grab her name, but she was SO friendly and thoughtful. They didn’t have any kids cups for our 2 children so she filled their cups halfway which was very smart. She was courteous and aware of the temperature since we were sitting near the AC unit – she made sure to ask if we were comfortable and grabbed the remote to turn it off. I can go on and on, but she was just all-around friendly, attentive and every positive adjective to describe a waitress. I have to also add that it was a Saturday afternoon and she was the only staff on the floor serving tables AND the bar, still keeping everyone promptly served and happy. In a time where service is usually lackluster, I think it is important to applaud those who do it well. If you read this – thank you so much for a positive experience. We will definitely be back because of you!
