Visiting from Washington, D.C. and I have to say this is the best meal I’ve had for miles! My parents recommended the Harbor and I see why it’s a community staple. Every customer is greeted like neighbors, and you can tell the staff has a great relationship with their customer base. Tatum (our waitress) definitely knows how to work a room! Very personable and attentive with her tables. She made my family and I feel very welcome, and though our food took a while, she and Owners made sure we were taken care of.
The wait was worth it – the food was delicious, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere is perfect. The Harbor is truly a great example of what people mean when they say “Southern hospitality”.

Lots of people don’t understand how much work it takes to serve you fresh prepared food as you order, but being a commercial cook before I commend what this place accomplish whenever they are open. I love it here. It’s a plus if you make reservations for large parties.

I did a review several months ago saying that this place was really good since then it was sold to new owners ..I am including a picture in this review so you can see what is being served by the new owners . The food was an hour late being placed on the buffet and the picture that I posted with this review was Bloody Chicken it finally was placed on the buffet..so sad to say I no longer will recommend the Harbor in Gilbertown Alabama.

This place is a gem. It definitely is hidden but it was worth the drive from Daphne Alabama. We had a large group and our server was great. They entire staff was amazing. They should remember us because they had to assist one of our cars that was stuck. The entire staff came to assist us so we could get back on the road.

The service was unsatisfactory. There were about 8 people at our table and we expected to get our food at or close to the same time. But we didn’t. After about 30 minutes from ordering our food, they brought out 2 or 3 plates. Served other tables their food. Came back maybe 10 mins later with 2 more plates. By the time I got my food most were about done eating. Not good customer service.

Had a gr8 experience. Yesterday I came for the buffet, and it was amazing. the frog legs were fried perfect, the fried catfish was amazing, and the baked beans which are my favorite were great. I definitely will be coming back.

Great food and atmosphere. Little small town restaurant that is above and beyond what someone from out of town might expect. The owners are very friendly and welcome everyone with a smile. Wait staff is very attentive and even when packed the food comes out quickly. Highly recommend eating here! If you are within driving distance its 100% worth the trip.
