Its colorful decor includes cushions, Christmas ornaments, toys, a large pink Christmas tree with lights, and funky decorations, creating a cozy, warm, and joyful atmosphere that matches its name. The staff was friendly and explained the breakfast choices before we ordered.
We enjoyed their coffee, which was high quality and not watered down. The tiramisu was excellent—moist, sweet, and coffee-flavored—very satisfying, while the eclair was dry and less sweet. The breakfast crepes were tasty, healthy, and perfect gluten-free options.

This place is heaven!!! Everything is GF. I am not dairy free so I didn’t try anything but they have some DF items. I got the chicken pot pie meal, which was lovely and so nice to have a crust that didn’t disintegrate. I also got a cheesecake which was amazing! They were testing a new bread recipe and let me try a piece. It looked like real bread! Tasted like bread! And did not feel like a brick when holding it! The employees were very kind, patient and seemed happy to be there. I will be back when I’m in the area.

I stopped by The Happy Tart in Falls Church today after seeing it’s under new ownership, and I couldn’t be happier! The shop is clean and more organized, which is such a positive change from before, and they now have more pastry options to choose from. The girl at the front desk was lovely and helpful, making the experience even better.
I tried a chocolate chip cookie, a chocolate cinnamon twist, and our favorite raspberry petite fours — everything was absolutely amazing, much better than before.
If you visited under the old ownership and had a sub-par experience, I highly recommend giving The Happy Tart another try. It’s so wonderful to see things looking up, and I’m so grateful to have delicious gluten-free goodies nearby!

I love this place! I ordered the pancakes, savory crepe and chocolate raspberry cake/bite- all of which I ate in one sitting and savored . The entire menu is gluten free and so nothing is off limits. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

We ordered our wedding cake through The Happy Tart bakery, and it was absolutely stunning! It looked gorgeous, well beyond our hopes and dreams. And it was delicious, too! Our guests couldn’t tell that it was gluten-free; many of them said it was the best wedding cake they’d ever had. There wasn’t a single piece left at the end of the night! If you’re looking for a beautiful, delicious gluten-free wedding cake, work with The Happy Tart — we cannot recommend them highly enough!

BEST GLUTEN FREE BAKERY!!!! Do not miss out on this amazing place!!! The pumpkin rolls are absolutely unbelievable. I went back day two and got more because I couldn’t stay away. The biscuits and gravy was the best I’ve ever had and my non gluten free friend agreed.
The cinnamon twist was good and the crepe. Going back I’d order the pumpkin roll and biscuits and gravy over and over again. Nutella strudel also amazing. I’d had it at a cafe in the city and didn’t realize they bought from this place. WOW.
Prices were reasonable. Employees were kind—the cashier offered to refrigerate my rolls while I ate my meal. There’s a sit down area inside, be aware it gets busy on the weekend and the line can be out the door.
Can’t wait to be back on the East coast to go here again!! Thank you for serving the gluten free folks yummy treats!

The Happy Tart bakery did not disappoint when I ordered a graduation cake. It was gorgeous on the outside and the carrot cake was delicious on the inside! Everyone loved it! It was a hit! I recommend reaching out to them early, as sometimes communication is slow…. But they’re a little place so it’s all good. Thank you! Yum!
