Traveling back from Kentucky for Thanksgiving. Put in google places for breakfast.. Happy Hangar Cafe popped up. So we thought we would try.. great find.. good simple breakfast.. very well priced.. friendly staff and great view to watch the morning rush hour of planes ✈️ taking off.. definitely will be on our radar the next time

Check out the size of that burger! EVERYTHING was homemade and cooked fresh – the burger, the chips, the sweet potato fries, the chicken salad, EVEN the salad dressing which was scrumptious! Very affordable, large portions, and super tasty. Plus you can watch the planes right outside! What’s not to love?

Happy Hanger Cafe is a wonderful way to spend the day.. Excellent and abundant portions of food. Our server, NICKI, was very personable and anticipated our every need. It is so nice to eat and watch the aircraft take off and land. Picnic tables and deck rocker chairs are available on the outside party deck to be closer to the runway action… They have Senior Bingo games on Tuesdays and other fun things to do. BTW, the plate comes heaping with delicious food for a reasonable price. This is definitely a FIVE ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ STAR place to visit.

Great place to go for breakfast or lunch! They have lots of yummy options and it’s excellent to sit and watch the planes fly in while you eat ✈️ . They even offer bi-plane rides!!!

Some might find this to be an Unhappy Hanger Cafe.
I flew in and parked my plane on the ramp.
First off, the service was good. Friendly waitress. Food was okay, not bad, not great. They serve breakfast and lunch.
However, walking in, I nearly turned around and walked out. There are several large Trump flags hanging on most walls. A TV hung in the corner blaring out propaganda from a far-right station. Not news, all opinion. I popped in earbuds because it was annoying.
I have no problem with people having different politics than I, but being so prominent and shoving propaganda via TV and loud audio is too much.
While the waitress was nice, I most certainly did not feel welcome.
The interior seating is basic chairs. There is a porch with some tables and chairs available, that look out on the ramp.
They don’t care about people with disabilities, because there are no ramps, and I helped a woman with crutches climb up 4 steps to the porch. That seems wrong, but the place practically screams “if you’re not like us, go away!”
I’m glad I checked off Tampa North Aero off my Florida airports list, I won’t be returning.
