Very disappointed. Booked for 2pm, order not taken for 20mins. 10mins later told it would be another 20. My pint of cider had a huge head on it… cider should not have a head, at worst a thin layer of bubbles. We left and went next door to KFC.

Lovely place – questionable food!
The place itself has so much potential. Lovely decorated pub with a huge log burner. Friendly, attentive staff. I do resent paying £12 for two slices of hovis with some supermarket sandwich filler and a salad dressed before I had that morning. In this day and age you can’t be serving sliced supermarket bread. Even a part baked baguette would be a huge upgrade. Chips were the saving grace as these where great but this was an extra add on! Pub with great potential but it won’t last long with that food. Evening menu might be better….

Dreadful. Went with friends for what was supposed to be a nice lunch
Food extremely disappointing. Just about warm beefburger. One pasta dish swimming in sauce. An identical one really dry. Hardly any spinach in either
Desserts took approx 20 minutes to arrive after ordering despite chasing twice. When eventually arrived had been over cooked in microwave. Basically inedible.
Barman apologised and took cost of desserts and coffee off bill. Would much rather have just had nice food.

Went for a Sunday roast. Parts of the meal were cold. The gravy was a bit thin and not much of it. Service was good though, but we were in a bit a a corner so didn’t experience much atmosphere

Having booked online for lunch on 3 Jan for a family of four, I received confirmation by email only to get another message about an hour later saying ‘booking deleted’. No explanation. My attempts to phone the pub failed as no one picked up the phone on Saturday night or Sunday morning and there was no response to my email. I finally found a Facebook post saying the pub was closed for a week (no dates!). Judging by the FB comments I was not the only one who thought they had booked a table!
I can’t comment on the food but the lack of customer care and forethought is enough to persuade me to avoid eating here.

Yesterday we visited the pub for a birthday meal. We have eaten here many times before and been impressed with the food and the service. However, yesterday we left feeling very disappointed with the food. The sandwiches were made using cheap bread and filled with sandwich filler. They were served with limp .. greasy salad. We could not even eat them. Really disappointing at 10 pound for a sandwich .

Lovely pub, nice and cosy inside.
Was a little bit apprehensive as it was quiet and initially felt like the staff would rather not have punters!
However, service was excellent.
My husband and I both had steak and it was cooked to perfection,lovely bit of steak, melt in the mouth.
Good sized portion too.
Would recommend.

Lovely lady behind the bar but 3 out of 4 meals were cold. Took 45 mins to arrive despite not being busy. Cold chips, mash, veg, steak and burgers. Dry, overcooked chicken gone cold and item that should have come with the meal didn’t arrive until we were almost done.
Every few minutes a slamming door (staff going in and out and heavy door slamming behind them)
For £90 + pounds definitely not worth it. Won’t be returning unfortunately.

Lovely pub! Staff were really helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. Food was absolutely lovely. None of this microwave ping stuff. 2 of us had burgers and the other had the fish and chips. The burger was freshly made too which was to die for. The piece of fish was huge and had chunky chips and looked really tasty.

Steak pie was served tepid and dried up (seems as though it had been kept warm for hours). Battered fish tasteless as was Korean chicken burger. The only nice this was the chips.
Service was slow. Nice atmosphere in bar area and very dog friendly.
