Nothing but amazing. Amazing food. Amazing flavors. Amazing service. We went around 930AM so the outdoor patio was empty and it was nice and quiet.
The service was impeccable. They checked on us regularly and made us feel very welcome. PUPPY FRIENDLY!! They showed our sweet pup love with pets and a bowl of water.
The only downside was the bees outdoors so be prepared for that. They were quite a nuisance but that’s only if you are sitting on the patio.
We had the poutine, the hangout omelette and my wife had one of their specials. All fantastic. We raved about the curry gravy and they even brought us a small container to take home of just the curry gravy. So sweet of them!
We will be back!!!

My go-to spot for breakfast! The food is always delicious and the service is consistently great. I’ve been to both the Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek locations, and they offer the same top-notch quality. The Walnut Creek location is a bit more spacious, which is a nice bonus. Highly recommend!

Hangout omelette was great, of you like bacon this is your jam. The chicken katsu curry was ok. The sauce itself was great, but the way the chicken was needed and fried wasn’t the best. Potatoes are delish. the matcha black sugar latte was good flavor, but very sweet, and Ube espresso was tasty.

Tried 3 of the menu garlic noodles, ube pancakes and loco moco all delicious.
Someone introduce me to this place, and after trying this place today, I can I also recommend it. So far the best garlic noodles I’ve ever had is from here.
The Uber pancakes was amazing and really fluffy . The loco moco has curry craving which is different than what I used to but still tasty for sure.
So why 4 stars? I arrived there early that the rest of the party becuae I was hungry, so I started my order with hot mocha. My parties have all arrived and ordered food, to my surprised they gave all the drink already and they forgot mine. Not a big deal since food here is good

We love The Hangout–the food, the vibe, the service. It’s all great. We ordered the Sunrise French Toast, the Berry Lovers French Toast, and the Gai Gra Prow with Shrimp. We ordered a side of eggs and potatoes as well. The berry lovers French Toast was a bit soggy, but the other meals were superb. Highly recommend the Gai Gra Prow–spicy prawns, fried rice infused with thai basil and bell peppers, topped with an egg–you will LOVE this dish! The lattes and hot cocoa were also very good. Love this place!

Came in for brunch in a Sunday. Arrived at 10am and was immediately seated for a party of 4. 11am it was notably packed and I think they had a wait list.
Food:
Ordered the Italian piggy scramble. Pork wine sausage, cherry tomato, onion, scallion, and cheese. It was light, you get a light crisp of the white wine and the cherry tomato’s were quickly blistered to add some sweetness to the scramble.
Ube pancakes for the table. Fluffy with plenty of fruit on top of the pancakes. The Yam sauce makes the dish.
Wife ordered the crab bene. She didn’t share, so I know it was good. Nothing was left but eggs, hollaindaise and fresh crab is always a good way to go.
Tip if you order the ube latte, make sure that it’s the caffeinated version. If you order the Ube latte as is, it won’t come with an espresso shot. Just mention it to your server and they’ll take care of you.

Went on a Monday around noon and it was fairly lively and busy.
We were seated immediately. Service was prompt and speedy.
Ordered some of their specialty dishes and an appetizer. Loved and immensely enjoyed the food! There was plenty of garlic flavor in the garlic noodles and the chicken was so crispy. The loco moco was also delicious with the gravy that was served with it.

Came here on a Monday and it was crowded but no wait. I’m not usually a pancake person but the Ube pancakes were delish. We also ordered the Hangout dish. Noodles with egg. Good flavors. I need to come back here again and try other dishes! Also loved the Ube latte!

April/17th/2025. Greetings. I heard negative and positive comments about this place. I came in on Thursday around 13:50 p.m.. We ordered chicken waffle and Gai Gra Prow Eggs over medium. Service was on point, served fresh hot as supposed to. We really enjoyed our lunches. We had a great positive experience. But I will suggest to a little more attentive to patrons and services. But overall I definitely and Strongly recommend The Hangout Walnut Creek Location. We will definitely be driving back for another 45 minutes until the next time. Happy Easter .

We had the most delicious brunch here with actual bottomless mimosas and some of the most attentive service we’ve had. The waitress recommended the Raspberry Mimosa and the Gai Goa Prow and both were very tasty. Large portions and large pours, perfect for a weekend brunch.
