Social Profile:

The Hangar Taproom and Bottle shop is a craft beer lovers heaven. With 30 craft beers on tap, from all over the country and beers exclusive to South Lake Tahoe, there will be something for everybody. Drinking in a crowd isn’t for you, there is a large selection of bottles and cans for off-premise consumption. Have a well-behaved dog? Bring em with you, we have an on-leash policy for the patio area. We do not have a kitchen, but we do have 2 food trucks always on site. Not feeling that? Bring your favorite recipe from Aunt Nancy, our something from any of the surrounding restaurants. Great beer & mediocre company. That’s us.

Loved it here so much I stopped by 2 days in a row while in Tahoe. Fantastic beer selection, great staff and delicious food trucks. If you’re a craft beer fan and love a good vibe then this is a must stop.

I like this place, we were looking for woodfire pizza and Get Rad Pizza didn’t disappoint. Their wings were perfectly cooked and charred, the best. We also tried the fries at the Mac and Cheese spot and they were so good, fluffy and perfectly salted. The bathrooms were clean and pretty spacious, parking wasn’t an issue. Overall a pretty great place to enjoy with family friends and even pets.

This place has been around for 8 years and is a gem to the area. Great craft beers on tap with around 24 to choose from. They have indoor and outdoor seating which is great even when it’s cold and snowing.

We came for the music. It’s basically a beer garden with a stage. They had 3 food trucks to choose from and a tap room with an overwhelming list of beer to choose from. I think they also have hard kombucha. The show we saw was excellent. It did get a bit cold since it’s October and it was raining of and on and there is really no shelter. Just prepare for the weather. There are bathrooms inside the taproom. Also a fire pit area. Overall this was a great experience and I would definitely come again. There is a small parking area near the road but more parking in the back. We didn’t have any trouble finding a spot.

The Hangar Lake Tahoe is such a fun and relaxed place to spend an afternoon. The beer selection is fantastic, the outdoor space feels like a big backyard under the pines, and the whole atmosphere is welcoming and easygoing. It’s one of our favorite spots to unwind with friends!

Exceptionally friendly staff, incredibly varied and robust selection of beers. We got there 20 minutes before closing on Memorial Day Monday, and while we were expecting to get turned away, but he poured us a beer and chatted while cleaning up! Great experience.

This is a great spot to visit in South Lake Tahoe. There is a great beer selection on tap. They have bottles as well. They have a lot of craft breweries from CA. There’s a nice variety of beers, from sours to IPAs, ciders to Hard Kombucha. There is plenty of room in the nice outdoor Biergarten. There’s a 21+ game area with corn hole and bocce ball. Food trucks are there permanently. The have wood fired pizza and hot dogs. Both are great. Try out the Chicago style hot dog, you won’t be disappointed! There a lot of parking for free in the lot in front.
Highly recommended. Probably one of the best places to grab a beer in the area!
It’s also kid friendly with plenty of room for them to run around. There is a dog friendly area as well in the front of the tap room.

Everything about this place rocks if you’re into craft beer! They had an awesome amount of taps to choose from ranging from DIPAs to sours to German lagers, and the beertender was very nice in letting me try a handful before deciding. The atmosphere is supreme. Seriously, even the bathrooms are ridiculously well decorated! I loved all the lighting and the artwork. And, even if you’re not into that kind of thing, it makes a difference to visit a place where there is clearly pride taken in the business.

Plus, who DOESN’T love to drink in a warm igloo in the snow?!

I’m sure the sprawling outdoor space is amazing in warmer months, but there was plenty of seating between the inside area and the three outdoor igloos for the January visit we had. And we will definitely be back before we leave town!

As complete tourists, we stopped by here after seeing a recommendation online. Drinks were great! I’m not into beer but the woman who served us let me try a couple before we ordered and my husband had a couple of different drinks that he really enjoyed.
The ‘Mexican’ food truck was open and we ordered loaded fries (can’t remember what they were called). They were good, we asked for them extra crispy and they could’ve been more crunchy but were super tasty nonetheless.

The one thing that let this place down was the kids running riot. You walk in and see a big board saying ‘this is not a playground etc….’ but there were kids running round everywhere, climbing the fences and jumping off of tables. Whilst this is not the bars responsibility, it felt more like the outside of a Wacky Warehouse rather than a drinking establishment. It’s a tricky one, as parents should watch their own kids but we felt because it was outside, people just didn’t care. If you’re going to put up bold signs, the behaviour needs to be monitored.

If we were to go again, we’d go later when there are likely to be fewer children. It’s a great spot with games and tons of outdoor seating, definitely worth stopping in if you’re in South Lake Tahoe! Drinks and food were reasonably priced too!
