The Hanger Bar and Grill is a hidden gem tucked away on the Bessemer Airport property. The cheeseburgers are consistently awesome and the onion rings are huge! They have a patio space where you can enjoy your food while watching the planes takeoff and land, and live music in the evenings. We came to lunch a little late in the day and Mr. Moody was incredibly kind and accommodating- we loved chatting with him and getting to know more about the bar and some of their upcoming events!

If you like airplanes, this’s the spot! Could be a “$100 hamburger” place. Surprised how good the frozen, packaged burger tasted. Milo’s for the sweet tea – yum! Good seasoning on crinkle cut fries! Busy day and only 1 guy doing everything (bravo sir!). Need to fly back to try a few different menu items.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch, while out running errands. It was not busy at all. One other customer was having a drink at the bar. I’m pretty sure that we were the only people ordering food. Even though there was only one guy working, he was calm, relaxed, kind, and polite. I ordered a couple hotdogs. My wife got a burger and fries. It took him a while to warm up the grill and deep fat fryer, but not so long that we cared. It was a quiet place to sit and chat before getting back to the daily grind. And the food was better than expected. Probably all frozen ingredients but they were prepared well and tasted great. I’d definitely go there again!

Went there with some co-workers for Lunch. There was only one gentleman working at the time. He took all of our orders in a timely fashion and served us our food which took an hour to get understandably so. The issue was the quality of our food. Everything was made from frozen Goods. I got a Philly Cheesesteak and Fries and I’ve had frozen Philly sandwiches better than that and my fries were burnt was well. We were the only customers “they” had and not once did the guy check on us to see if everything was okay or if we needed refills. The experience and the food were dreadful and my co-workers echoed the same sentiments. We won’t EVER be going back there.
