We stopped in for Dinner. Ashley promptly greeted us at out table. She was very attentive and provided us with the best service we have had at any restaurant ever. We will be back and request her. She was amazing. Our food was good, but she was great.

While this isn’t the normal establishment I visit it seemed intriguing so we gave it a shot. This is a bar scene that does have good food, the wings were next level, the chicken ranch wrap was delicious and the sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place for their food. Our waitress was sweet, attentive and overall very kind.

Can someone please tell me how a place with such amazing food can employ a bartender manager/server that’s allowed to chastise patrons as if they were children. Then make it obvious that she was being warm and engaging toward a table of young men(that were also not people of color). I asked because it wasnt clear but the people that were disrespected and not served the food they ordered were people of color and the bartender was not. I will never visit this establishment though I intended to. I will also warn others because I never expected this in a city as kind and inviting as Kalamazoo. A nasty attitude will ruin your business ‘oh look they’re leaving’ is the worst sentiment you can leave a paying customer with. And I wonder how many times she behaved this way and it was allowed.

When visiting our daughter at Western our family stopped at The Hanger for lunch. We were very happy:
Food – Our daughter had a burger which was large, I had the fish tacos, my wife had pizza, my son had the mac n cheese brisket, and our other son had a kid’s cheeseburger. We also ordered an appetizer and drinks. Everything tasted good and was hot.
Service – Our waitress was attentive and helpful.
Atmosphere – Nice vibe and fun atmosphere. There were some TV’s and video game machines too.

Full transparency, I am a pilot (how do you know there is a pilot in the room? They will tell you). Just left another business in the area and saw this place about a 1/2 mile down the road and had to check it out. Love the aviation theme. Nicely done. Beer was cold and staff was nice. Tons of TVs with a variety of different things on. A few video games, but no pinball unfortunately. If you like beer, check it out, if you like aviation, REALLY check it out. Lots of cool photos in the back.

We went a couple of times, primarily because of the location. Service by both bartenders and wait staff was excellent – quick, accurate, and friendly. Food was mediocre. Compared to many bars in Kalamazoo the atmosphere is decent.

Staff was kind. Salad was pretty good for the price. The southwest salad needed more black beans and corn. Place needs to get wood fire stove fixed pronto so customers can try all of the dishes. Lastly, you should add soup to your menu. It is a restaurant staple. Pleasant enviroment!
