Mixed reviews here. While I do like the naan and their hot sauce, the meat is lowkey mid. A few days ago was my first time trying it, and while it did taste pretty good, I wouldn’t say their taste justified the price in contrast to other halal spots.
I went with a couple of friends and the worker was speeding through our order which was sorta nice until he proceeded to mess up on my friend’s order twice (he ordered too bowls, and both of them were messed up).
Nevertheless, despite this I would say this place is fine once in a while when I’m in the area but it’s not a major go to spot.

The quality and the taste have been down. And they charge extra for a little more rice now. Very unfriendly staff and the food doesnt taste so good too. Looks like Halal guys is losing its stand. Won’t be going back

Gyro and chicken platter full to the brim and delicious as always. Came with extra complimentary white sauce and hot sauce. More pita’s and protein than expected, very grateful 🙂

Amazing service, just the whole atmosphere was very welcoming and the food is some of the best authentic halal food I’ve had. Definitely recommend trying the lamb from here if you haven’t had lamb before

This was my first time visiting in this store with my family as we visited the Niagara Falls. I always visit the other stores in Philly since it’s closer to where I live. The staffs were really nice, friendly and respectful. And The quality of food is always great! The store was really clean and the location was easy to find. One of the things I noticed is in Philly the meat options were chicken and lamb but here the meats options were chicken and beef so that was interesting. Would love to visit there again in future!

I usually eat at The Halal Guys in Amherst twice a month, but today was honestly the most disappointing visit. I ordered through their app — a Chicken Regular Platter with extra pita(didn’t get extra one) and extra chicken for about $15.
What I got didn’t match at all — the platter had half side small portion of rice and the other half full of lettuce and The chicken was okay, not dry, tomato, onion and green pepper is ok fresh but the portion was very small even after paying for extra chicken. It really felt like a lettuce platter, not a chicken platter.
The New York City Halal Guys tastes amazing with great portions, but the Amherst location really needs to fix their quality and quantity. If Amherst location is franchise you guys have to take care of this if not you will keep loosing customers one by one
Honestly, you can get a much better chicken platter at Chipotle right behind — for just $8, you get good chicken, rice, and plenty of fresh vegetables with way better portion and taste.

The food is good but the staff keep messing up my orders. I placed a online order with the halal app. I was missing green onions, green peppers. They didn’t give me the BBQ sauce I wanted in my order. I order less and less because of these consistent issues. This food is expensive, and I expect it to be correct as a paying customer. The app was disappointing when I reported these missing items that you charged me the best the app would do is a free fry. That doesn’t fix what went wrong and creates irritation and frustration.

Ordered in app a Sandwich and received a bread with only bits of meat, nothing else. Brought back to the store, and the staff told me that by default the sandwich only comes with bread and meat. If I want veggies, I need to specifically “make a note.” I told them I ordered it a hundred times with the same options and this was the first time I got something like this, but they refused to admit it was their fault. And they even told me that I have to pay to get the hot sauce with the sandwich.
In the app, the sandwich page clearly states that “We add lettuce, tomatoes, and your choice of toppings and top it off with our famous white and hot sauce.” And there’s only options to remove them, which means they are added by default. The staff there that day just really don’t know what they’re making.
What more ridiculous is that when I back to the store, they are making sandwiches for the in-store order customers. And those sandwiches were made in the correct size, much larger (more meat and stuff) than I received today, which was the similar size I ordered before.

I’ve been eating here for a while, but I’ll have to quit. Almost every time I’ve ate here for the past year, me and everyone else who I’ve bought food for have ended up sick and with stomach issues, and each time it’s after we’ve eaten from this place. The rice is stale or not cooked thoroughly, or maybe it’s the dye they use that doesn’t suit the system. Sometimes, the chicken has an odor to it, maybe raw? Used to love this place, whatever they’re doing recently isn’t working. The price is also a problem. $13 per platter, just to end up sick immediately after? Nope.

I ordered the spicy bbq chicken platter through door dash and I absolutely love spicy food but the spice was ridiculous. After three bites my eyes were watering, my nose was running, and my mouth was on fire I couldn’t even eat the food I paid $30 for. I have never eaten anything that spicy idk if the cook messed up or what but nobody would be able to eat that unless their just insane.
