We both ordered the platters with a mix of chicken and gyro, served with rice, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, peppers, and sauce. The portions were generous and filling. However, the quality was just average—the meat was a bit greasy with a hint of old oil, and the lettuce wasn’t particularly fresh.
Overall, while the food was satisfying in quantity, it fell short in freshness and flavor. Likely won’t be returning.

As someone hailing from Germany, a country where Döner kebabs are almost a national dish, I was curious about all the hype surrounding The Halal Guys. After trying their famous platter, I must say, while the food is decent, I don’t quite understand the overwhelming excitement.
The chicken shawarma, in particular, was a bit underwhelming. By German standards, the meat lacked flavor and seemed slightly undercooked, which isn’t something I’m used to with our well-seasoned, juicy Döner meat. The garlic sauce, which appears to be a big deal here, is just another sauce back home—nothing to write home about.
That said, I can see why locals might enjoy it. The portions are generous, and the food is relatively satisfying if you’re looking for something quick and filling. However, for someone accustomed to the robust flavors and textures of Döner, The Halal Guys doesn’t quite hit the mark. It’s alright from a local perspective, but it doesn’t live up to the hype for me.
The pita soft and delicious.
The falafel was spicy and tasted impeccably cooked.
The chicken was so juicy.
Getting the jalapeño hummus on top was a great touch.
I can’t wait to go back.
I chose this location specifically over other local eateries in the area. My order was taken by a very friendly Middle Eastern employee who was pleasant, despite a language barrier. However, a significant issue arose when I attempted to use a promotion for free fries via a QR code on the app.
I clearly mentioned the free fries and showed the QR code to the employee, holding it against the iPad for scanning. While he was totaling the order, he appeared to seek assistance from an African American female employee, who abruptly walked past him without offering help. I noticed the free fries were not displayed on the screen but proceeded with payment, thinking that maybe since it was a free item, it wasn’t on the screen.
After receiving my platter, the fries were not included. My husband inquired about the missing offer with the female employee. Her response was extremely rude and unaccommodating. She dismissively stated that the offer needed to be applied when the order was placed. When my husband explained that the code was shown to the first employee before payment, she insisted we would have to purchase another item or order the fries separately. She made no attempt to resolve the error.
This level of customer service is unacceptable and reflects a need for better staff training in offer redemption and customer etiquette. Don’t offer these free items on your app if it’s this difficult to redeem them. While I used to enjoy The Halal Guys, the noticeable decline in both service and food quality has made me reconsider future visits.
They just opened and the staff are friendly and helpful. We always order the small or regular combo over rice, with salad, the complimentary onions, and green peppers. We get a lot of white sauce, hot sauce, and some bbq sauce! Nice to have more options other than Panda Express, Wendy’s, Five Guys, Popeye’s, or Subway in Walmart.
Congrats guys to spreading your love!!!
Still serving up the best combo platter with the highly addictive white sauce and it’s dangerous cousin the HOT sweet nightmare.
You can’t go wrong here as they cater to many eaters with falafel, chicken, and beef options. All clean options served with rice or salad or both.
Definitely come and visit and show your love for some
