**2nd time going**Went back for a second try. Salmon and baked potato were qreat! Everyone had a great meal. Just wish I had gotten a slice of key lime pie!

This was our first visit. It will not be our last. We got there about 1 pm and was greeted and seated in under a minute. The waitress was very friendly and seemed to be happy she was assisting us . We ordered Fromm the lunch menu. Every thing was 7.99 which consisted of your main dish and two sides. I got the cat fish filets my wife the fried oysters. The waitress brought us a basket of melt in your mouth mini hush puppies. My cat did was crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth inside. My wife got 6 oysters. Both of us were saying oh so good while eating and after we finished. I would recommend this restaurant to any seafood lover. Btw they do have steaks , burgers,and pasta. They have homemade key lime pie. Ummmmmn good

Just ate here with our kids and everything about the place was wonderful. We pretty much ordered half the menu and we had zero complaints. The fish tastes soooo fresh. The owner was very friendly, making rounds and checking on everything. Our waitress was beautiful and so very sweet. They brought out a complimentary appetizer of homemade hush puppies right away, which were amazing. And our food came out not long after. Our drinks stayed filled. Service and food was great. The place is cute and quaint. Really enjoyed our time here and will be back!!

The staff was friendly. The hush puppies were great. I ordered the the combination platter for 17.99. The oysters were raw and out of a bucket. They tasted like chemicals and had the consistency of rubber. The shrimp were good. The fried fish fillets were horrible and small. I would not recommend eating here at all.

I took my family out to Gulf Seafood today, the food was great. Gumbo was hot and delicious. Husband has butterfly shrimp and daughter had popcorn shrimp both said was good. 5 stars from my son on chicken tenders. I had hamburger steak and rice also pleased. Very full and satisfied bunch!!!

The staff was friendly and fast. We came right before they closed because the google hours were incorrect. I have suggested the edit to google and it has been changed. We liked the food but it wasn’t amazing. I didn’t think “authentic gulf seafood” while eating there but it was tasty and reasonably priced.

Just returned from having dinner with a party of 4. This is my first visit since the Smoking Grill days. Happy to say that the dirty floor is still the same. There are 2 seafood pasta dishes on the menu. One labeled as spicy and the other does not state either way. My guest ordered the latter. The dish was way too hot/spicy to eat. The menu states dish contains red pepper. They mean cayenne, not red bell peppers. Owner was rude, did not apologize and made a scene in his own establishment. After a long discussion he offered to bring out another meal. My guest was embarrassed and opted to keep his dinner and not eat. Everyone else had the fried catfish which was hot and fair in taste. It is not fried in cornmeal. The coleslaw was warm and soggy, the fries fair, and the hush puppies hot, fresh and bland. The cost was about $60.00. I report you decide.

We had a party of six. No one offered to seat us or even acknowledged we were there. Finally we caught someone’s attention and got a table. New sat there a good ten minutes and no one came. A girl cleaning tables gave us menus. We ordered and one person ordered a fish poorboy. He got shrimp. We never got our hush puppies. We told cashier and she just said sorry. Food was okay but service was so bad we will not be back. It was not busy as we went early.

Just opened 3 weeks ago. When I walked in, I was not expecting very much. They did a good as job as possible to decorate, but it is still just a cinderblock room. Our waitress was OUTSTANDING! She was very friendly and even though she was young, she knew her way around the menu. She made a couple of suggestions, at my request, and you could tell she was being honest. I watched as the other waitress waited on the other customers, and they all seemed to get equally good service.
Good service is nice, but the food was even better. I overheard the man sitting next to me say that it was the best Mahi-mahi he had ever tasted. I took the suggestion from our waitress and had the Spicy Shrimp Pasta. While it had a little heat, it was not hot. Let me just tell you it was good!; & this man will be back for it again! It was a garlic shrimp pasta that had tomatoes and a little red peppers in it to add heat. The toast that came with should have been a heartier bead; but that is stretching and looking for something to add a negative about.
The chef-owner obviously new what he was doing with food and service.
This is a MUST TRY! Not fancy, just good food & good people. I hope they stay around a long time.

The food and service is worth 5 stars. Fantastic flavor and cooked just right. The staff was very nice. The lighting in the dining area is less than desirable and would keep me from dining in. Better lighting would make a world of difference!
