Celebrated my birthday dinner here and it was amazing! The ambiance was so warm and welcoming and the hostess was very friendly and sat us at the window! This provided very good people watching since there was plenty going on in downtown.

Our server Cameron was spectacular. He was friendly and knowledgeable as well as made us feel welcome. He was quick with drinks and checking on us after our food arrived.

We splurged on the waygu beef appetizer and it dodnt disappoint. Melt in your mouth steak with amazing cheese and cooked potatoes.

My chicken was incredible!!! Never had it served the way it was served and it still had the skin around it. So tender and delicious so needless to say the plate was cleaned.

Cameron was able to provide one of the BEST if not the best carrot cakes ive ever had. Absolutely loved it and overall this experience was tremendous.

Top 15 in Columbus. Atmosphere is cozy and boutique-y with different style tables, booths, wood burning fireplace, etc. The attached hotel with a nice lobby and bar is a nice extra when on a wait or wanting to get a cocktail before hand.

The menu is more experimental than the average CMR restaurant but in all the best ways. No mater your taste there will be something appealing to you. Presentation & preparation are top notch on every appetizer, main, dessert, etc.

The staff is wonderful in every way. Servers are knowledgeable, quick, friendly, and attentive. Even the hostesses are kind, confident and accommodating. Managers are attentive and respectable and ready to help with any situation at hand.

Overall this place is one of the few reasons left to venture to the short north. They always deliver and know how to facilitate a memorable evening for all.

Finally came to this decent restaurant at Short North with high expectations, but I was disappointed with their food and service. The dining room was splendid with a private room and a separated bar. There was even a bottle of hair gel in restrooms. Servers were dressed up nicely and WiFi was fast.
However, my server was not attentive because he paid more attention to the big table people. We ordered a restaurant week combo and three courses came out at once without asking us. The salad was too sour. The pork was dry with a strong smell of meat. The fruit and Sauerkraut covered the unpleasant smell anyway. The flawless chocolate cake was too thick for us. It tasted great but I felt I was eating a compressed cookie. The fried oysters were also mediocre with a weird wasabi dressing. I could imagine the high price and small size, but the food was not delicious.
Some friends recommend this fine dining to me, but I could not say it was a good experience.

The Guild House is an outstanding dining experience. Everything was excellent, from the quality of the food to the impeccable service. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, making it the perfect place for both a special occasion and a comfortable evening out. Attention to detail is evident in every aspect, and the overall experience is refined without feeling pretentious. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a classy and enjoyable restaurant in Columbus.
I really liked it and have no negative comments!

10/10 all around. Incredible food selection and quality. Our server Travis was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive but didn’t linger. We split the beet salad and lamb chop + fried rice appetizers (lamb chops were delicious). I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly, medium-rare. Also tried the sea bass in lobster broth, which even came with some bites or lobster claw! Great wine, cocktail, and mocktail selection as well. I hope to be back in Columbus soon just so that I can go to Guild House again!

This was my first time at a high end restaurant so I didn’t really know what to expect. I usually have the palette of a toddler (Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, nuggets, etc.) so I was worried about eating fancy food lol. I went in with an open mind and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the chicken to be safe but at the end of the night, I didn’t taste 1 thing that I didn’t like. The food was the best I’ve ever had in my 40 years of life. The service was top tier excellent, and the atmosphere was enough to make my first fine dining experience over the top. Food was pricey but so worth it. Would definitely go back and definitely recommend to others. Great great place❤️

Made a reservation here for a birthday meal for our party of 4. The entire party was so disappointed, in the food and the service. The restaurant was completely empty. Our service left a lot to be desired. From the start half (2 of the people) in our party, the drink orders were wrong. We were never told any specials, or that they had any at all. It wasn’t until we were mid-meal, and a nearby table had the specials told to them, that we were informed that there were any. We had 2 appetizers – the carrot soup, and burrata. The carrot soup came out luke-warm, the dumplings were cold, stale and undercooked, and lastly -the burrata was laughable. The burrata was placed on 4 small, thinly sliced pieces of bread, the menu read sourdough – however you would have never known. The toast was drenched in olive oil, with a layer of what looked like squeezable avocado spread… making the toast a soggy pathetic mess.

The entrées came out – The chicken, sirloin, pork and a lobster pasta dish. The chicken and pork dishes were as described – and were enjoyed. The sirloin dish featured a potato gratin that was roughly the same temperature as the cold plate it came out on, and the dumpling theme continued to the lobster pasta. It was undercooked, lacked any flavor, and was a stale unappealing mess.

The only thing they seemed to have down, with the exception of the burrata, was presentation. For our party of four, the bill was over $200. No food was taken home. The whole experience was extremely underwhelming. Our waitress did make it a point to tell us that she’d been there since breakfast and she was tired (our reservation was for 5pm).

This was an expensive experience that failed to deliver on quality or value.

Our family of six had dinner on Thanksgiving. The place was packed but we were seated at our reservation time. We had to finagle a bit to get Dad with his walker settled, but the staff was patient and kind with him. Our server Bobbie was fantastic! She was funny, endearing, and attentive for how busy she was. The volume of the room was energetic, but I could still hear conversations at the end of the table.

It is SO nice that they offer a Prix Fixe Thanksgiving menu as well as the regular menu. My elderly father had Thanksgiving dinner and enjoyed it very much. The rest of us ordered off the menu. I read that there is usually a heavy hand with the salt, but our experience was all over the place with seasoning. Here are our thoughts:
Hamachi Crudo – pretty, but not the best we have had. More flavor?
Steak Tartare – fresh but a little on the acidic side. Served with plain toast points that we would have better if buttered and grilled.
Beet Salad – very fresh with golden beets, crunchy quinoa, and a farm cheese cream base. I enjoyed it but this dish could have used more salt.
Shagbark Grits – we wanted to just love this, but it needed salt as well.
Oyster mushrooms – great batter and sauces, mushrooms cooked perfectly, but this dish was oversalted.
Cavatelli – the flavor with the duck and sauce was delicious, but the broth was a salt bomb.
Pork – perfectly cooked and seasoned. The cabbage was lovely. I would order this again.
Pork Cheeks – this was our favorite dish of the night. Seasoned perfectly. The cheeks were so tender, and it was fun to eat with the spaghetti squash. It’s a generous serving for an appetizer and I ordered it as a main.
Sea Bass – perfectly cooked and wonderful. I only had one bite, but my sister loved it.

We would 100% come back here for Thanksgiving.

The Guild House is a Cameron Mitchell Restaurant, so there is an established standard of quality going into any visit.

Food was on the pricier side but everything was prepared well. Vegetables, specifically roasted broccolini, was a bit on the salty side, but it was not too large a detractor to the overall experience.

Cocktail menu is very limited but all were pretty good, focusing on the main liquor in the name.

Desserts were notably good and large portions. The poppy cake was especially whimsical.

Service was excellent, but the lobby is small so the waiting for a table experience can be straining.

The Guild House exceeded all expectations. Our server, Kylie, was absolutely fantastic. The lamb chops were spot on. The lobster anglotti was possibly the best pasta ever I have ever had. The caramelized banana dessert was perfect. My husband love the chocolate torte. The best part was our cocktails and appetizers were 50% off. This place is absolutely wonderful.
