This is a small local restaurant with awesome food! I noticed the name on the map as I looked for somewhere nearby to eat. I liked at all the positive reviews and decided it was worth a stop.
My husband had the meat loaf special which was covered with marinara sauce. He said it was good.
I had the Alfredo pasta with blackened chicken. It was superb! The sauce wasn’t just plain Alfredo, but had a bit of a kick like the blackened chicken. The portion was large enough I got to enjoy leftovers another meal. I shared some pasta with my husband who agreed the flavor was top notch.
The service was friendly and very attentive. We were even thanked for giving a small local town and restaurant our business.
We’ll stop here again if it’s on our path back home.

This a gem of a place, we saw sign on the interstate and decided to head that way, Sidney was an excellent waitress, full of knowledge, told us to go upstairs and check it out. So glad we did, lots of information about the building, was decorated great. Love the fish tank downstairs and the Christmas trees. Also food was delicious, my husband had a burger it was huge and I had the special Beef Stew, it was excellent, took carrot cake to go, didn’t open up until I arrived at my destination, it’s the largest piece I’ve ever seen and delicious. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.

I am a little grumpy about this meal. First, it’s a cool historic building. The staff is very nice. The price was insane! For two sandwiches with a side, one coke, after you add up tax, a 3 % “dining fee?”, tip, it was $52 bucks. What a rip off. 52 bucks is Boston or Philly prices. My wife and I have been traveling across the country and I’ve had nicer dinners in bigger cities for less than that price. Get real this is a small town in the middle of nowhere.

As far as the food, it was average. My Reuben was a nice portion but the bottom slice of bread got soggy quickly because there was too much water in the sauerkraut. The Russian dressing had very little flavor and so that tang that makes a Reuben great was missing. The bacon on my wife’s BLT looked two days old. It was dry as a bone. She did however enjoy the zucchini soup side.

I’d be perfectly fine with this meal as a pit stop if it was reasonably priced, but if you’re gonna charge that much, it needs to be pretty outstanding.

Food was tasty! Brunch Menu. We had Chicken Salad sandwich & Grumpy Burger. Casual atmosphere in a quiet small town off the highway.

Server was friendly and helpful. Food was below average quality, and was extremely overpriced.

Edit per the owner’s request: I came in around 4:35pm. I was greeted and sat at the upstairs bar. I ordered the Gouda Mac, with shrimp added for protein. While the portion was very large, overcompensating for lack of flavor. The elbow pasta itself was undercooked. The Gouda sauce was bland, almost as if it were watered down. The mushrooms were the best part flavor-wise, but scarce. Three overcooked shrimp with tails on were haphazardly thrown on top of the pile. The entire dish has so much potential and I was underwhelmed at best.

I ordered the Gouda Mac with shrimp and a cocktail. I will praise the cocktail, it was very well made. My tab was over $40 dollars. With an obligatory tip, I paid $50 for a poorly executed pile of elbow noodles.

Hope this helps.

We visited on Valentine’s Day. I love that you are in a small town and we enjoy the short drive from Little Rock. The meal was good, and the bread bowl for the beer cheese soup was a nice touch. For the entrees, I had the wagyu beef and my wife had the scallops. I know you wanted to do something special and elegant, but the high dollar items lead to smaller portions…and really not worth the $54 price tag per plate. I doubt there was 6 oz of meat for me, and four scallops for my wife. The 14 oz ribeye on your regular menu would have been a nice alternative, as would maybe the redfish or shrimp. These are solid choices, more food, and not as expensive. Not trying to be mean here, but I felt a little cheated for what I got. Just being honest. Thank you.

The food is out of this world good! Sandwiches are large and made properly, not overstuffed. Good portion of hand cut fries, well seasoned. The blackened red fish was delicious, served on top of cheddar grits with a crawfish tomato sauce. Well made cocktails, balanced and not overpoured. Trivia night was a blast! Will definitely be back.

If there were 10 stars available, they would have received all 10!!
Such a great find!
The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing!
This is definitely worth stopping for, if you are in the area. I could go on for days about how impressed I am with this place.
We will definitely be back, again and again. The price was very reasonable and the portions were more than we could finish!
The dishes we had were in the list of recommendations, but I highly recommend the lasagna and the meatloaf dinners
