It was a bit short staffed, but got to us in a decent time. Nice bar. Beautiful, clean, and new atmosphere. Good music. The food was delicious and fresh…and most of all for an amazing price! Highly recommend and will return.

They have an awesome happy hour, even on Fridays. We came on a Friday night, and we could still be seated right away; there’s plenty of room inside. Great ambiance! Our server was so attentive and friendly; he was just awesome. I got the GOAT burger – I liked the goat cheese topping, but the meat was lacking flavor. The service and atmosphere made up for it, though! Very reasonable prices.

Atmosphere and service were great! My drink was great and I loved the happy hour price. My husband ordered the patty melt and it was great! I ordered the mac and cheese and it had really good flavor. The drawback was not long after it got to the table the cheese got very thick and made it hard to eat as it was so rich and hard to get through.

Well designed and the atmosphere is great. Service was excellent and the Espresso Martini was very good. I ordered Chislic and ask the server for her on the entree. Her pick was also mine and the egg roll in a bowl did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this place when in the Sioux Falls area. It is worth the short drive from Sioux Falls out to Brandon and is only a short distance off I-90.

Forget the name and the location it’s the food, service and hospitality that tells you it’s the stop to tell family and friends that there’s more to South Dakota than national Parks. Flavor and attention to detail tells the traveler on 90 that a billboard is not needed to find a gem in the Black Hills, just ask for a Manhattan to know the miles and miles were worth the drive either west or east.

Meticulously decorated, perfectly designed, and well staffed. This is my new favorite place to eat in Brandon and the owners and managers also happen to own and work at my favorite place to eat in Sioux Falls – The Attic (East or West). My date and I were greeted and seated quickly. The bar staff was exceptional and our waitress was exceptional. The manager stopped over and had an amazing personality. Prices were great and the quality of the meal was exceptional. The jambalaya and the chicken with shrimp pasta were both enjoyable. It is really the perfect place to go for a meal out on just about any occasion. Thanks everyone at The Gruff.

The food is beyond compare! Drink orders are quick and the bartenders mix a perfect Old Fashioned…I suggest the Knob Creek Old Fashioned. They take a standard Steak Sandwich and elevate it beyond expectations. So tender, never a dry bun, add the grilled asparagus or crispy sweet potato fries. SO GOOD! the wait staff know how to take care of customers without being too doting…and you never feel forgotten about. Truly top of our list for weekend dinners.
