First, let me say. Tori rocks. I wanted for nothing. Great service. This place is a hidden gem. The first place around with real hand-made fresh patties for a hamburger. Cooked the way you like it. (Medium for me). It was flame kissed and made perfect. Mac and cheese with sausage was fabulous. Steak bites were perfection as well. Jalapeño stuffed appetizer was amazing, too. I felt like i was back home in a country restaurant or sitting in a friend’s house. TV for sports, country music softly in the background. And everyone inside is happy, and having a great time. If I had anything bad to say, it would be they need sweet tea. Lol. It’s a Texas thing. Had a great meal and time. Go look Tori up and tell her Harold sent you. You won’t be disappointed. The scenery is nice as well getting there.

The Grove is an interesting experience. Hidden in the Central Valley of California near Stevenson. I had a friend bring me here this morning for breakfast. The Bloody Mary was great. I ordered the pork chop breakfast and it was decent. My pork chops were a little on the dry side but the seasoning was good. The location is beautiful nestled in an almond orchard that I was told used to be a top notch golf course, now reclaimed as agriculture again. We each had a drink and a large breakfast and our bill was $60 so mid to high prices. The service was good. The young lady who took care of us was very friendly. I would go back again.

I’m so glad I tried this place out! I ordered the Steak Sandwich that comes on a Portuguese Roll. Let me tell you that this is by far the, best steak sandwich I’ve ever had! It is packed with juicy flavors and literally melts in your mouth with each bite. I also had their homemade potato salad which I highly recommend. To start out today’s lunch I had their homemade cream of mushroom soup which I really enjoyed. For my beverage I had a Mountain Dew. I got really great service here from Christine. If you are not from this area it might seem far off the beaten path but definitely worth it!

I came here last night with a huge family group. If this is your first time, I’d highly recommend the steaks. This is a place famous for their steaks. I had the chicken linguini. My boyfriend had the apple chorizo pork chops. We were both disappointed with our dish. However, we tried some of the steaks our family ordered. It was delicious. This place is put in the middle of nowhere, but it is very easy to find. There were heaters around where we sat. Overall, we had a beautiful time here. We will definitely come back to get steaks.

Highly recommend this place – it’s well worth the trip. The staff was super friendly, Sara was clear and concise, she doesn’t mess around. We started with the mac-n-cheese for the app. I’m not a big mac-n-cheese person but my Betterhalf is, so we ordered it – one of the best we’ve ever had. For dinner I had the ribeye steak, garlic mashed potatoes and veggies, my Betterhalf ordered the chicken linguine. Both dinners were delicious. This place has indoor and outdoor seating – get there early on the weekends, as it get pretty busy. This is a definite go-to in the future.

I make a point to come to The Grove when visiting family in Atwater … I would recommend the Steaks, Rack of Lamb, Pork Chops…. They also have Pastas, Delicious Burgers & Great Pizza.. I might add they pour Excellent Drinks. Very casual & laid back atmosphere. Out in the middle of nowhere but worth the drive.

Great, out in the middle of nowhere place. I loved the country/Western atmosphere. Simple menu and great tasting food. I had the spicy grilled chicken sandwich (today’s lunch special) and gumbo. Wonderful flavor, the chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection. The gumbo was good. It had rice, chicken, sausage, and shrimp. And the staff were all friendly and welcoming. Apparently it gets quite busy with hour waits for food, but if you’re not in a hurry it’s a great place to visit.

Their original menu items are such a delight. The artichoke dip is unforgettable. Wasn’t a fan if the steak bites independently, but the combo with the dip was savory. Their bread was perfectly toasted to my liking. Service was wonderful. Very polite. Such a chill atmosphere, inside and out. We’ll definitely be back.
