Wonderful breakfast, good atmosphere, great food. Also perfect if you’re gluten free- went for breakfast in the winter and lots of options, particularly the waffle dishes which were all gluten free (even the fried chicken in their take on chicken and waffles). The space is open and just edgy enough to feel interesting and moody (high exposed ceilings, transparent overhead garage door opening to the patio, art on the walls, alternative music, hanging plants, a small stage for performances), but still inviting (a few small soft seating spaces, and counter/open kitchen, giving you more of a coffee shop vibe). Good hours as well. I think whatever you’re looking for you’ll be happy here.

Was in town one day only for work, and I tried The Groove Spoon after browsing other possible breakfast spots. Boy that was the correct decision.
Ordered the Joplin for breakfast, probably the best chicken and waffles I’ve had. Amazing quality, portion size, and flavor.
I will, absolutely, be coming back in the future to try the rest of the menu. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

First time visiting the Groove spoon. Had breakfast there on a Wednesday at about 11am. The food was very good. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was top notch. Will definitely be eating there again soonn

This place is a hidden gem! It is inside the Middlecoast Brewery building.
They have a great selection of interesting waffle dishes – both sweet and savory. My husband loves chicken and waffles, and he said it’s the best he’s ever had.
The owner is friendly and the vibe is very cool.

We went to breakfast on a Monday morning and was the only table the entire time. I see complaints about confusing hours. In our experience, they were open but didn’t have table service. We were totally fine with that and it makes sense when we are the only table. The waffles were so fluffy and yummy. Loved all the different options.

Fantastic cappuccinos and delicious egg breakfast in a fun atmosphere. Super reasonable pricing too. I would definitely come back.

My husband and I stopped in for brunch. It was delicious. I had the Bowie waffle and he had the Picasso. There was so much flavor in both meals, and the French press coffee was just right. It’s easy to over sweeten waffles, but the Bowie was full of blueberries and a tart lemon zing, just enough sweetness to compliment the real flavors. My husband’s Picasso had the right ratios of toast, eggs, potatoes, and veggies. Highly recommend!

We went both savory and sweet and enjoyed both. I had the Picasso skillet which was fantastic. My husband had the Cobain waffle which he said was also really good. The woman who took our order was super friendly too. We’ll definitely be back!
