A takeout place only. Inside is a very industrial look. On one wall they have fridges with meats you can buy. Then there’s the order counter with all the bbq in warming trays.

I ordered the 3 meat combo($23). I got pulled pork, sausage, and turkey. The sides I chose were baked beans and cheesey potatoes, plus it comes with a piece of cornbread. The pulled pork was very good, and the turkey was excellent, some of the best turkey I’ve had. The sausage was only okay. The beans were very good, with a tomato tang. Sadly the cheesey potatoes were no bueno. I ended up throwing them away. The cornbread was excellent, I could have eaten a couple more pieces. Overall the portion sizes were generous. I got the Chipotle bbq sauce which I thought was very good. I got a 2nd sauce ($1) Hot Honey. It was good, but did not have a distinct flavor.

The service was efficient and friendly.

Overall a 4-star review. Would I return? Yes with a caveat. I would return if I was already going to be in the area.

MUST VISIT! Plan to eat outside since this place is takeout only, and it’s my fault I didn’t check that before coming in.
My wife prefers Korean BBQ because of the sweet, tangy and juicy marinades that goes deep into the meat than the flavor of the meat itself. I like both US BBQ and Korean BBQ and I always want to convince her how good the US BBQ is.
This place finally did it.
For the record, she was not hungry going in so it didn’t help the case at all, but she still devoured the burnt ends, hot honey BBQ pulled pork and half of the side dishes. We chose broccoli salad, smoked baked beans, loaded mashed potatoes and quinoa salad. Although both salad need a bit more flavor, they were both fresh, crunchy and balanced. My wife especially liked the quinoa salad.
My 2yo daughter chewed through the pulled pork with no effort, and my 4yo son managed to swipe 5 burnt ends before my wife arrived.
Oh, and the corn bread that came with the meal, chef’s kiss.
Sorry there are no photos because WE ATE ALL OF THEM LOL.
You can see the kitchen in the back which is clean, the front desk allowed trial bites and were extremely friendly. I appreciated them asking for customer feedback on the spot and that showed they put their heart into the food.
Last but not least, to get four of us all fed and satisfied I spent less than $39. IN THIS ECONOMY?! Only other place that can pull this stunt now is the Costco food court.
Definitely will return. And my wife approving US BBQ for the first time meant the world to me.
Update: Returned 9/20/25 and took pictures before we licked the plates clean.

We’ve been wanting to try this place out for awhile now. So glad we finally did! I got the 3 meat combo with, Burnt ends, pulled pork, and brisket and for the 2 sides I chose coleslaw and cheesy potatoes. The potatoes are their number 1 seller and for good reason, they were DELICIOUS. My girlfriend had the mac and cheese and that was also very tasty. We liked everything we ordered, even the cornbread that comes with the combo. Friendly staff and good customer service is a plus. We will be returning .

This place has the worst food ever. I had the chopped steak and cheese, no flavor garbage. My husband got the burnt ends which were decent as in edible. There pulled chicken was sooo dry and taste like it sat in water no seasoning. The Mac and Cheese was disgusting taste like plain rouge no cheese. The baked beans well they are from a can not dressed at all. The coleslaw taste like plain mayo with cabbage. Basically other than the couple bites of burnt ends 58 dollars in food was dispensed to my trash can. This was my second try because the first was when they first opened so I thought they may have gotten better, but big fat negative.

After reading reviews, I thought I would try this place.
Disappointed! The brisket has no flavor and tastes like boiled meat. The burnt ends were fair, no smoke flavor, and the sauce was lacking. The baked beans were average beans , nothing special, no extra flavor. The coleslaw was just chopped cabbage and was bland. The side sauces weren’t even good. The corn bread was dence, not very tasty, with a little sugar sprinkled on top.
I just threw out the food, wasn’t worth eating.
I would not recommend this place.

The best BBQ in GR! Service is always great, and their grab and go coolers are full of quality items too. This banana cornbread pudding was out of this world!

Had lunch here a few times while in town and did not disappoint! Fair pricing, helpful staff, and amazing bbq. Very lean and great taste. Sweet fresh cornbread was nice as well. Wish they had some seating but very clean and friendly staff.

Bottom line: Good food, good value. A solid choice for take-out BBQ

Pros: it’s pretty good BBQ, the sides are what you’d expect, the portions are generous for BBQ, and I think their prices have them firmly very good value territory.

Cons: you aren’t sure if they are open for business or not, they don’t take phone calls, it’s not easy to tell if their premises are occupied or not, and the staff is a bit grouchy.

Perhaps the most snoozed on restaurant in Grand Rapids. The food is SO good. They offer in person orders and take away only. I’d cater from this place for every event if I lived in Grand Rapids!

Bro. Love the food. I had the ribs. Mac n cheese and cheese potatoes. The ribs were cooked to perfection. They had amazing flavors even without the sauce. The bourbon sauce was delicious. The only thing I wish was offered was a bbq sauce that had heat and was sweet. Like habanero heat.

The brisket was delicious and also cooked to perfection.

You guys have amazing food. Bbq like this brings tears to my eyes. 10 stars out of 5. Like I said the only way that you guys could improve is with a spicy bbq. <3
