Placed an order for the jumbo pulled pork sandwich. I didn’t know the sandwich came with fat and sauce only no meat I am extremely grossed out after biting into this sandwich. You would think I could atleast eat the side . The store insisted requested I bring this food back today out tomorrow for a refund .. she says no time limit we just need the food back for inventory I understand people can but you also have to value the customers that pay the bills customer lost

I love this place. Started out using the one on Lamar that closed close to my work at FedEx. My favorites are the Chicken on a stick..the tamales and the fried okra. I’m thankful they offer delivery because it’s too far for me to drive that I’m retired now. Thanks again. Eating my Chicken on a Stick now saying omg!! Only thing that was wrong was okra was not crispy but soggy. Had to put in air fryer.

Just opened at 11 and at 1:00 they’re out of shrimp. I used to come here with my periodically…not often but the last time we came our rice bowls were total mush. Gave this place a loonnngg break and this was my experience today. The place is old but you could clean up! The lady at the counter was preparing to take my order and suddenly remembered they didn’t have shrimp. After reading a ton of negative reviews and their lack of responses and having people to bring food filled with fat and burnt back bc of inventory, we will NOT be back. Prices are grossly inflated for the portions you receive and the pound of salt on everything. Thankfully, I didn’t spend a dime. I walked out.

Placed a to-go order for an egg roll ($7), a tamale, beef brisk sandwich, and two chicken on a stick. The sandwich was very tender and tasteful. Chicken on a stick wasn’t hot or fresh, kind of dry, like it was grilled in the morning, and set out. This is the egg roll.

I work about 3 minutes from here and my shifts are usually 12 to 16 hours and I don’t always have time to bring my lunch so I got online and saw that this restaurant was not busy so I decided to order online My Was about 17 minutes for pick up once I arrived. It was extremely busy after seeing it was less busy than usual online I thought to myself man if this place is less busy, I couldn’t imagine how busy it really is Although busy, the lady behind the counter was extremely nice to everyone and did all she could to keep things organized with online and walk-in orders(it was a ton more f ppl and she kept ppl. Calm and updated on their orders status) I Ordered the Special Online it said it came with two wings a chicken on the stick with one side and drink of choice. I chose okra from my side and raspberry lemonade for my drink. It was all so delicious. I also got three wings instead of two maybe because I wanted them grilled, but I preferred grilled over fried and it was everything it needed to be. I will be going back here in hopes to have their pudding one day

This was my first time eating here. I ordered take out for a large fries with honey gold sauce. Their large fries is actually most restaurants size small fries. I paid about $6 for them. I could have gotten two of those size fries at Zaxbys for about $5. The fries were ok at best. Some of them were hard to bite being that they were overcooked or throw back in the grease to reheat. Either way, it was a let down. I’ll probably only come back for the sauce with fries from somewhere else.
