Very friendly! Fantastic brisket! BBQ sauces were awesome!! Hush puppies and tater tots were a great addition to my meal. Just don’t order to much as the portions are very generous!! I’ll be going back!!

My son is crazy for their waffle fries, yummy! I love it too. My husband is a big fan of their food. Good taste, low price, and big portion! Hope more people will come to eat!

Passing through Hoquiam. Wanted to grab a bite. Despite the horrible exterior and greasy spoon basement mashup interior I gave The Grill Sgt a shot. The BBQ Brisket was EXTREMELY good. Homemade BBQ sauces were EXTREMELY GOOD.. Owners and service EXTREMELY friendly. Just goes to prove once again, you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. Great food, great service. 4 stars because portions were a bit small, exterior and interior way overdue for a facelift. Then an extra star because the owners are military Vets. So right back to 5 stars.

Great BBQ. I had the ribs that had a great bark, fat well rendered, still moist, and fell off the bone. The homemade sauces are tasty. Google had the wrong address, so go to the web site to find them on J st. ENJOY!

My husband and I were staying at Lake Quinault Lodge, but the food was pretty spendy there. We also didn’t realize we booked a room without a TV, so we decided to venture down to Hoquiam for dinner and I’m glad we did! The food here was amazing! We ordered the small platter and had enough leftovers to throw in the cooler for dinner the next night. We tried two different sauces, but the whiskey peach was our favorite. I’m wishing now that I would have asked if they had bottles of sauce to purchase because I totally would have bought a bottle (or five). My only complaint is I wish the cornbread muffins would have been warmed and served with a little honey and/or butter. I’m sure if I had asked, they would have accommodated. If only my husband liked playing games, they had a bunch of games (cribbage, UNO, monopoly, etc) to play there too. At least we brought our books to keep us entertained at the lodge!

If I could choose zero stars I would. Soda tasted like carbonated water after we asked 3 different times for a soda. Food tasted terrible no flavor. Brownie came with a hair in it. Left very unsatisfied and didn’t eat anything on our plates. Do not recommend will not be returning. Tasted and looked like prison food.

Brisket was moist, flavorful, and an excellent bark. Ribs had a great kick and fell straight off the bone.Great BBQ and the mango habanero sauce was delicious too!

Met the owners – great couple. They couldn’t have been nicer. It’s a place you would miss if you drive by the main road in hoquiam. It is only 1 block away from that road. I highly recommend this place. We were very happy we went!

One of my new favorite places to eat at,if you love bbq and wanna get down I highly recommend checking them out, and they got some great flavored bbq sauces as well.
