The Grill From Ipanema in downtown Seattle is all about Rodízio, a popular Brazilian style of enjoying dinner among friends and a truly unique dining experience. Rodízio offers a wide variety of different cuts of grilled meats slowly roasted in specially designed charcoal grills. Served continuously by passadores or gauchos with food brought on skewers or carved to order tableside, servers make their rounds until guests can’t take another bite. Dining at The Grill From Ipanema also includes unlimited visits to the mesa de frios (cold table) for an array of cold cuts, cheeses, and exotic Brazilian specialties.

I was a bit nervous after reading a few of the reviews because we were going out for my husband’s birthday and I wanted to make sure that I chose well. I’m glad we gave it a chance because it was incredibly delicious! The staff, from the moment we entered and even as we were walking out, were friendly, attentive, and did an outstanding job!

We have been to TONS of Brazilian steakhouses before, and this is by far the absolute worst. In general, the meat was tasty, but there was barely enough given to taste. The person cutting the meat would slice it SO thin that we couldn’t even grab a piece because it kept flaking off. For $65 a person this was not worth it at all and we wanted to walk out within 10 minutes of being there. On top of that? A 20% AUTOMATIC tip for a horrible experience. $172 (no drinks) dinner where we walked away hungry – and the salad bar was not good at all. If you have never been to a Brazilian steakhouse you wouldn’t know any different, but for those who visit them frequently DO NOT waste your money.

Great food, excellent service. This place was very good for my first visit. The staff was polite and professional. The food was full of flavor and delicious. They have a full drink menu and local craft beer. They have a wine menu that I didn’t go through but seems reasonable. It is Pricey!

We always go for the rodizio. We like the steak items but our top requests are the picanha and grilled pineapple. We like the cheese balls and fried bananas. Love that you can order refills of each or both if needed

My partner took me here for my birthday and we were really disappointed. We really wanted to like it, we tried one of each of the meats that came out but after about 30 minutes of being dissapointed with everything that we tasted we finally had to call it quits. The only ones we liked a bit were the picanha and the pinapple. I will say, The mashed potatoes were really good, but the rest was incredibly bland and tasted awful. We politely let the waiter know, and asked for our checks. Then we got the check, and they added Auto Gratuity. 20%. That’s the part that upset me the most, forced to pay and additional 20% for some of the worst steak I’ve eaten. At this point I was near tears, and we just left rather than kick up a fuss and ruin the night further.

The salad bar is amazing! Service 10/10 and like a true Brazilian steakhouse: if your sign is flipped green they will relentlessly pursue with delicious various meats, seafood, and grilled fruits.

I had been to this place back in 2010 and it was an incredible experience, we went for Father’s day and it was an absolute disappointment. The service was below par, the cheese bread was rationed as well as the cinnamon bananas, the grilled pineapple was requested several times and only came once. If your looking to spend 60-70$ a person this is not the place !!! We did not have a good experience.
