Always a wonderful time at the Greyhound! Celebrated a galentines/birthday dinner with them last night and everything was great! Our server was so sweet, very attentive and accommodating. Food and drinks were great as always. Can’t go wrong with a margarita and margherita pizza! And the deconstruction stuffed artichoke with the pita bread is the best app combo!

This was our first time here. Nice place and plenty big inside. Parking can be an issue. I ordered the battered fish and chips. It was very good. My wife got the salmon and said it was the best she’s ever had. It came with a potato veggie mix. We also ordered a couple of Greyhound cocktails. It was a grapefruit vodka with grapefruit juice and ice cubes made of GF juice. Everything was really good, especially the service. We’ll be back!

The Greyhound never misses. A true gastropub menu. Its incredibly rare to find a decent english style fish and chips in the area and they’ve got it. They make the best wedge salad. I miss their chicken pot pie – divine. I tried their curry the other day and it hit the spot. When they do a dish, whatever culture it may be from, they always nail it, with high quality ingredients and nuanced flavor profiles. Don’t sleep on it!

First time at the The Greyhound, we were passing through Covington around dinnertime, looking at restaurants in the area. The menu offered a wide variety of options, so we decided to give it a go. Everything was delicious! The service was amazing. The manager? checked on us a couple times asking how was everything and if he could get us anything. We got the Deconstructed Sicilian Stuffed Artichoke for starters. For Entrees, Me and my son got the Italian pizza, my husband got the Doner Kebab. Everything was so delicious!!! We’ll be back! Oh, the cocktails were excellent too!

The Greyhound has great food, exceptional service, and a vibe that works for just about any occasion. It is the kind of place where you can feel the energy the moment you walk in and immediately know you made the right choice. I was craving comfort food with a wide selection of drinks, and The Greyhound absolutely delivers. The beer menu is extensive and impressive enough to make Anheuser-Busch, the makers of Budweiser, proud. Even on a Tuesday night, the place was packed, yet the service never slipped. I appreciated the hostess clearly communicating that it was busy so we never felt ignored or forgotten. There was not a single open table, and somehow everyone still seemed happy to be there. The starter salads were fantastic, the entrees were generous and full of flavor, and the drinks were just as good as advertised. This is the kind of busy you actually want to be part of. I loved The Greyhound and will absolutely be back for another meal, busy or not.

We have been coming here since it opened and absolutely love the joint. The food and the service is top of the chart. My only question is to the management… You had the absolute best Escargot on the North Shore. Why did you take it off the menu? Open a CAN of snails and bingo. We ordered it every single time we came. And also… What’s so hard about leaving the shrilmp, corn and pepper pizza on the menu YEAR ROUND? ALSO, kick up your high end Tequila selection. Still gonna come. Just some suggestions. Thanks

I am definitely coming here more often! My server Savannah V. was very knowledgeable with the items on the menu! I asked her many questions about many things and she was able to explain everything! I had the burger and just WOW. Top notch, perfect juicy ness, the arugula was a great choice for lettuce!! Love it!

Incredible owners & amazing staff. Everything is ALWAYS on point. From the appetizers, to entrees, to desserts, to drinks! Every dish is an absolute hit. Late night eats and drinks were needed in Downtown Cov and it’s perfectly achieved with the top-notch quality food and chic, cozy atmosphere! As you can see, I’ve tried *almost* everything on the menu and I’ve loved it all. 10000/10!

I stopped in with my husband on a quiet Saturday afternoon (around 2–3pm). The bar had maybe half a dozen guests, yet the bartender was already apologizing to everyone. We assumed the kitchen must be slammed or they were understaffed.

When we finally placed our drink order—a bottle of Monastrell—the bartender poured two glasses from the end of an open bottle, opened another and put 2 glasses in front of us. When we reminded her we’d ordered a *bottle* of Monastrell, she insisted she “just opened it,” then set an open (and more expensive) Malbec bottle in front of us. After we clarified again, she literally **grabbed** the mis-poured glass from my hand and dumped it down the drain. I’ve worked in the industry for over a decade and have *never* had someone snatch back their own mistake, let alone deny the guest the courtesy of keeping the mispour.

It took multiple attempts—while pointing directly to the bottle on the printed menu—to finally get the correct wine.

We ordered a quick bite (spaetzle), but the bartender returned with schnitzel and dropped it off without a word. We once again corrected the mistake only because I’m vegetarian. My husband ate the wrongly delivered schnitzel so it wouldn’t go to waste like the wine did—but we were CHARGED FOR IT ANYWAY. I genuinely have never seen a restaurant bill a guest for food that the *staff* got wrong.

Meanwhile, the “manager” wandered around watching all of this happen, complaining about how busy she was rather than helping anyone. Staff seemed confused about whether the restaurant was open or closed between lunch and dinner, giving different answers to every guest who walked in.

This was, without exaggeration, one of the most chaotic and unprofessional service experiences I’ve ever had. The food and wine were good, but the service was so astonishingly bad that it ruined the entire visit. I work a block away and will actively avoid this place from now on.

My first visit to The Greyhound in Covington. I had the Salmon and a spicy watermelon margarita (with salt). We also ordered the shrimp and white bean appetizer, and the appetizer board.

I personally did not love the appetizer board, but I’m not usually into those types of appetizers, so I have not included it in my review.

I would go here again. Their staff was outstanding and everything ordered looked delicious.

+Pros
+Diverse flavor profiles on the menu
+Salmon was perfectly cooked, vegetables were perfectly cooked.
+White bean appetizer was very flavorful and beautiful. This would be delicious on some Naan or roti
++Creative drink menu and fabulous staff

-Cons
-Parking can be tricky but not impossible
-May be a little loud on some days, just mention for those with audible sensitivities.
-Salmon and vegetables lacked salt for my dish, but that may be since I had to ask for no butter. Salted butter would have most likely compensated for this.
