The Greene Turtle started in Ocean City as a place where beer was king and the menu consisted of a barrel of peanuts. Over time, we’ve grown an obsession with making good food and a belief that staying true to ourselves is what matters most. We make hearty food using fresh ingredients and highlight the blue crab dishes that are authentic to the Mid-Atlantic. Gather around and try food that’s so good that you’ll have to share.

Okay so full disclaimer I was starving when we went here. I had not eaten in nearly 17 hours so my opinion might be biased. My family said the food was fair. To me it was delicious. The buffalo wings were perfect and I typically don’t order buffalo wings. I enjoyed my Cajun Alfredo. My husband had a burger and fries. He appreciated the toasted bun BUT changed his mind once he bit into it noting it was too hard. Jen was an attentive and personable. Ask for her!

My family and I went there for lunch. Not busy but that’s okay. The food was decent. I got the cheesesteak which I thought was lacking meat, but it was good otherwise. The tots were delicious but a little on the salty side. My family also enjoyed their meals (Cajun Chicken Pasta, Turkey club wrap, and the Cowboy burger).
Service was great but my main issue was the cleanliness of the restaurant. It was so dusty that you could see where people put the arm/elbow (hopefully it can be seen in the picture). I’m generally not a fan of chain restaurants because I almost always get the “I don’t care much” vibe from the food and atmosphere. I can’t say I’d be back for a meal unless I was going for drinks and happened to eat while I was there.

Just got takeout, I’ve had it before but this time I was so impressed. Everything was cooked perfectly, seasoned amazing, amazing portions. Someone knows how to whip up a meal! Service was wonderful picking it up!

Worst dining experience I’ve had in the past few years. We went in at like 7:30 on a Monday and to start it took like 40 minutes for them to take our order and when they do they are out of like 1/3 of the menu. On top of all that they charged me $8.75 for a coors light.

I rarely write negative reviews but my experience there is worth noting. Before going to this restaurant I called management, confirming their hours and they specifically said the kitchen closed at 9pm. After arriving there at 8:15 I was denied entry with their only dumb reason being they were out of coke, and some other ingredients and how to-go orders hit them hard. This was a poor bad impression of this place which proved their unprofessional management after calling them and them saying to me that they promise they would give us service before 9.

Apparently The Green Turtle opened in Deep Creek around 2016-2017. My husband, daughter, and I have been spending a weekend in Deep Creek every year for the last 5 years or so and had no idea it existed until now – it’s tucked behind the main road at the end of the lake. We went last night for dinner and it was fantastic! I was surprised it only had a 4.1 review on here. We had the fried pickle spears which were delicious. We had wings with old bay malt vinegar dry rub and they were out of this world! The flavor was delicious and the wings were crispy and juicy. My husband and daughter both had burgers and they were huge! I had the chile lime shrimp bowl which was fresh and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. The place wasn’t very crowded for a Saturday at 6pm so definitely head over there for some great food!

Being this place is in a small town it was very well staffed and servers were really friendly. We came in with a party of six and were in and out within 30 min. Food came out extremely fast and was steaming hot fresh off the grill. If your in the area definitely give this place a try.

We went for lunch and had a great experience. Friendly, attentive waiter, great food. Tasty wing sauce. Loved the crab dip on the chicken sandwich. Enjoyed outside seating.
