The Greene Turtle started in Ocean City as a place where beer was king and the menu consisted of a barrel of peanuts. Over time, we’ve grown an obsession with making good food and a belief that staying true to ourselves is what matters most. We make hearty food using fresh ingredients and highlight the blue crab dishes that are authentic to the Mid-Atlantic. Gather around and try food that’s so good that you’ll have to share.

We ordered 4 items to go. Only the pretzels and shrimp basket came out okay. They gave boneless wings instead of the regular wings were ordered. Carne asada must be Spanish for “flavorless beef” because the $16 tacos were the blandest I have ever had. Will not be returning.

I came by on a Saturday evening for some playoff football. I haven’t been to a Green Turtle in a while, and I was pleasantly surprised with how great this one was. First off, the staff were all conversational, but professional. They quickly offered me food/drinks and answered any of my questions. The price for the beer was really great in my opinion – $7 for what seemed to be a 32 ounce beer and $15 for a 32 ounce cocktail (fresh orange crush included). For food we got the crab/pretzel dip and some french fries. These were more aligned with my expectations for a bar. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. If I wanted to go to a local bar to watch some sports I would almost definitely suggest this place first.

The food and drinks tasted fantastic!! The service on the other hand…. was some of the worst I have ever gotten. It took about 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged, then it took about 30 for the drinks to come out, and the food (burger and 2 orders of fries). The manager (I presume) came by and as per usual took away the finished basket (my companions fries) then asked if I was done with mine (upon which I was still chewing). We still had full and half full drinks at this time. 30 seconds later our waitress came by (again while I was activly chewing) and tried to take my fries without even asking!! Then got pushy about getting the check (and bringing a to go cup). Who the hell brings a to go cup at a BAR??? Without being asked?!?!
Food was fantastic, drinks tasted phenomenal however the services slowness and the push to get us out of the building makes this an establishment that I WILL not be returning to. Previous visits to other locations were enjoyable. This was not.

I was indecisive on where I wanted to go but I knew I wanted a good burger all along lol so I drove to this specific location since I love the Howard county atmosphere and let me just say it was worth it. Ordered mozzarella sticks for the appetizer and a blue moon then I ended up getting another blue moon since it was so good ! At first I didn’t know if I wanted the Double stack burger or the Chesapeake burger for the main entree so I ended up getting the Chesapeake and my oh my that burger was so good it left me speechless !

This was our first visit to the Greene Turtle, and we ordered carryout. The food was pretty good and the takeout service was very good. We had the fish tacos ($16.99), a Cobb salad ($14.99) and a bowl of chili ($8.99). We enjoyed the food; however, we thought portion size for the bowl of chili was small and looked more like a cup-size serving especially considering the $9 price.

Lee (the general manager) and Samira (my hostess)were so accommodating! I tried the Mike’s Hot Honey items from the menu and I absolutely loved the chicken and maple fries and the chicken sandwich. The chipotle chicken bowl was amazing, I loved the pickled onions and the portion size of the chicken! The bowl looked like the rainbow, had different colors of items and the hot honey ranch was superb! Also the strawberry mojito was amazing! It was light, crisp and very refreshing. They have a mean happy from 3-6pm with very reasonable prices!
I like this location as it’s huge, has a lot of sports memorabilia around and it appears to be renovated.
I can’t wait to visit again and try other items!

Hey Everyone! This was my first time going to the Green Turtle and I’m here to tell you the food was FANTASTIC! The $ was RIGHT! But you couldn’t beat THE SERVICE!!! My Server, BAILEY, is the best to do the job! She seated me super fast, took my order right away, made my drink (non-alcoholic y’all) just the way I asked her too, and then had somebody bring my food out hot & fresh! She checked on me at appropriate times, so she didn’t bother me or pester me in any way shape form or fashion, and she was super polite and sweet. I will be back thank you Bailey!

has gone down in quality significantly under new management. They have a new set of full time bartenders every single time I’m here , that being said the new guys weren’t bad. I have been watching UFC here for the past 2-3 years every other month, and For some reason with no explanation they don’t show ufc fights anymore so it’s dead every Saturday night as well. Won’t be coming back until they show the fights again

What I will say about this experience was the server was nice. The food was absolutely awful. I ordered onion straws (good), 10 piece boneless honey old wings( THE WORST) and house coleslaw (don’t do it) . The wings were dry like a rub, I asked if they were what I was ordered and was assured they were honey only bay.. there were extremely small like broken pieces of chicken tenders ( for $15 ♀️ ♀️) the slaw was a dry bowl of shredded lettuce thrown together. I asked if I could get some slaw dressing and was told they only use mayo … needless to say it was a waste of my $. Not happy with my meal, but I may come give it another try – different meal of course!
