By far THE BEST gluten-free menu options I’ve come across!! They go to great effort to make a full meal, rather than just a poor substitute. Options include (but not limited to) a delicious chicken burger complete with GF onion ring (photos of this), great pizza, fish and chips, and many more. Plus, lovely decor & atmosphere, great friendly service, food served right through the afternoon (fab if you find yourself in need of a decent meal at 3pm when most others have stopped serving). Whole menu has loads of great options to suit all, including vegetarian and vegan options, as well as expertly cooked meat and seafood dishes…. Highly recommend, 10 stars!!

A wonderful gem located just off the A60 at Cuckney Crossroads. Lots of wonderful rooms to enjoy, the restaurant, the snug, the bar, the doggy friendly area and the superb outside area.
Fantastic range of Cask Ale, Craft Beers, Ciders and more than enough spirits to put a haunted house to shame.
The food, the food is something else, you must read all of the menus, as they have something for everyone.
Sunday lunch, I’d definitely recommend booking in advance, as it can get busy, but they’re are plenty of staff, and nothing is too much trouble.
Cracking place

Very nice traditional English pub tooked away in the Nottinghamshire country side, not to far from the Major Oak. Well worth a drive over and like us have a fantastic Sunday Lunch. Great choices from the menu, not just traditional Sunday dinners. I opted for the Beef dinner and was not disappointed. Great value for money. Will definitely come again.

We decided to stop at this gastropub because we were passing by and it looked wonderful from the outside. Inside, it was just as charming, and I felt really uplifted. I hoped that the combination of a stylish interior, welcoming staff, and the overall atmosphere would be matched by truly great food – something on par with what I’ve enjoyed at The Elm Tree in Heath. The menu looked interesting, and with the prices set as they were, I expected dishes of a high standard. I also anticipated a great coffee, especially since it was served in beautiful cups.
But sadly, I was quite disappointed. I ordered the melted cheese burger from the lunch menu (£15), and it turned out to be rather underwhelming – the bun seemed frozen and bland, the salad was minimal, and the meat itself didn’t stand out. It felt less satisfying than fast food, and certainly far from what I was expecting. The coleslaw had an odd aftertaste and came in a portion so small it looked more like a dipping sauce. The fries, however, were crisp and enjoyable – though very much in the style of a fast-food chain.
The coffee was another let-down, especially served with just a small piece of rusk; at that price, I would have expected at least a piece of good dark chocolate.
I did notice that most of the other guests around me were drinking beer or wine without ordering food, which perhaps says something. Still, all tables were reserved from 6pm onwards, so maybe I simply chose the wrong dish (and the wrong coffee) and should have tried something from the main menu, even if it’s twice the price. I’m not sure.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Treated my mum on Sunday. Got a pork and a beef dinner, came with all the veg but cauliflower cheese and crackling were extra. Really good quality food. Lovely attentative service. Would go back.

Decent place for a beer has a lot of customers. Food is quite good though a little pricey. One of the joys is that it’s a frequented pub by many but also has regulars. Has a decent outdoors too which catches a lot of sun.

First time at The Greendale Oak and definitely not the last. The staff was absolutely brilliant and the food is some of the best we have ever had. It’s that good we are going back again next week. 100% recommend

Visited Saturday evening in the run up to Christmas and had a cracking time. The pub looks gorgeous with the decorations up, proper festive country pub atmosphere without being tacky about it.
Food was top notch across the board. Had the prawn cocktail which was way better than expected, done properly with decent prawns. My wife’s bacon chop was apparently incredible. Both kids cleared their plates which never happens, the pizza and pie went down a treat with them.
The staff were the real standout though. Friendly, efficient, got the balance right between being there when you need them and leaving you to it.
Good selection behind the bar too. We’ll be back, no question about it.
