My wife and I loved the Greenbriar. Atmosphere apon walking was not you average steak house. It felt like we stepped into someone’s hunting cabin deep in the woods. No loud music, we’ll lit but not too bright. Staff were very helpful when we didnt have a reservation we were welcomed to the seating in the bar area and it did not disappoint either. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menus and answered all of our questions without hesitation and with kindness and respect. We enjoyed 3 cocktails from the bar which were prepared correctly from the taste and appearance of them. We ordered one of the dry aged porterhoise steaks that they are well known for. We enjoyed the house “spoon bread” which was like a buttery corn bread while we waited on our main course. The potatoes and brussel sprouts were tasty sides to the steak and everything was cooked perfectly. I would recommend the Greenbriar to anyone visiting Gatlinburg looking for a nice restaurant to sit down and have a nice but not always cheap meal. (Not a bad thing)

From the moment you walk in, service is exceptional , staff is welcoming and the restaurant itself is immaculate and just gorgeous even in the winter . The food and drinks were phenomenal. Our server Jesse was knowledgeable, attentive, charming and kept up with multiple tables on beat. We had the house cornbread and the naan with baked pistachio goat cheese – delicious! My husband had the ribeye and I opted for the filet , both just melted in your mouth and flavor profiles were great. I had the Dylan and it was surprisingly very good , I loved the dark cherries, they were like candy. Coffee crème brûlée was THE BEST we have ever tried. Overall, it was a truly memorable experience and I would love to go back the next time we are in Gatlinburg.

Best restaurant I’ve ever been. Worth every dollar spent. They gave us a table that was separated from others which gave us privacy and comfort to talk with each other.

They brought us cornbread as courtesy which was soft and sweet. Later, the wine and drinks arrived and we waited around 25 for our steaks to be cooked.

I asked for a medium well ribeye and was absolutely delicious. For dessert, we had crème brûlée and it’s been the best one I’ve ever tried so I would recommend that one a lot.

Pricey? Yes but 100% worthy. This place is perfect for a special occasion. If you want to impress your wife, this is the place to go to.

By the way, there are weird vibes in the place, possibly because of the ghost that lives in there, feels kind of scary after they tell you the story of the restaurant.

Awesome dinner with my family for my Dads 71st birthday. We have been coming here for years and absolutely love the new look. We had the Meatballs as an appetizer and the cornbread is some of the best we have ever had!!! I got the Beef Wellington with a wedge salad and a twice baked potato! Delicious!!! Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. Our waiter Joe was awesome! Can’t wait to come back again and sit outside around the firepit

My fiancée took me here for my birthday, can’t say that I was disappointed at all. We started with corn bread and I will usually not for me but wow theirs slays. The atmosphere of this place is super romantic and warm, impeccable service. I got the beef Wellington very good, my fiancée got the chicken also delicious, server recommended great wines to pair. For dessert we shared the almond joy cheesecake, I paired with the Dylan cocktail that comes with a fun show. Totally recommend for a special occasion.

Rate 10/10 -They serve their signature and complementary spoon bread first which is delicious! The beef Wellington( $60)was exceptional! Jonathan gave us excellent service – the bulgogi empanadas were a treasure! We had some cocktails before dinner the Tennessee Transfusion was yummy! The Amaretto sour best I have ever had the bartender uses egg whites just fyi – delish! Malbec with the beef Wellington was outstanding! Very impressive wine & bourbon selection !! The Greenbrier never disappoints -Grilled shrimp were colossal! asparagus, baked potatoes ( top quality -if you serve a subpar baked potato it can ruin the Meal – for me anyway – all the food was over the top – ! See you soon !

This was by far the best experience I’ve had in a long time!

The fire pit was great to sit and have a drink at while waiting for our table.

The food was perfectly executed.

We started the Duck and Dumplings and the Pork Belly. The pork belly was cooked to perfection and the strawberries were marinated well. The nuts took the dish to another level. The duck and dumplings was a great earthy flavor and the consommé was clarified perfectly and full of flavor.
The house salad vinaigrette was full of flavor and everything you could want from a salad. The short rib lasagna soup did not offer much in the way of texture, but was full of flavor.
The lemon sorbet was the perfect combination of sweet and sour. An amazing pallet cleanser.
My husband got the ribeye and twice baked potato. The steak was seasoned and cooked well. The twice baked potato was creamy and cheesy.
I got the beef Wellington, let me tell you that it exceeded every expectation. Also, the demi glaze was something I will dream about.
They surprised us with roses and dessert for our 5th anniversary. The chocolate pots de creme was rich and dark exactly what you look for in that dessert (this was my favorite thing to make back when I was a chef so that’s saying something.)
The cherry bread pudding was everything my husband looks for in a dessert. The cherry ice cream on top was executed flawlessly.
All of my cocktails were on point and worked well with the menu.
Our server was sweet and attentive. I appreciated the way that she seemed to take care of us like we were her only table.

There are not enough good things to say about The Greenbrier!

Top notch place to go definitely worth the price. I went with my girlfriend while vacationing. We had been to Gatlinburg before but it was a holiday and they were booked up. We got a reservation this time it did not disappoint. Hannah was our server she was great and very knowledgeable. I got the Dylan double barrel a signature drink at the time amazing for bourbon lovers. We had the duck and dumplings for an appetizer. Best duck or dumplings either of us ever had. You then were served a salad of your choice and then sorbet as a pallet cleanser before the main. We also got the rack of lamb and the Beef Wellington. Beef Wellington was hands down one of the best entrees I’ve ever eaten and was cooked to perfection. The lamb was also cooked perfectly and was good but we would have gotten the red snapper however they sold out. For desert was going to get the crème brûlée but another table got the last one before us. We were still very pleased with our delicious food and would definitely return. People around us got steaks which were all cooked perfectly, octopus, foie gras, and baked goat cheese app which all looked amazing.

In town for christmas vacation and we had reservations for 19 people. They took our reservation months in advance when other restaurants would not. We had a private room and had a once in a lifetime experience. We lost a young teenage family member this year, so this trip and dinner was special to our family. Our waiter was very patient with our large party, got every order correct and every course was presented beautifully. I can’t say enough great thing about this restaurant. Beautiful, spectacular and food so good it will melt in your mouth. Thank you!

Our experience at The Greenbrier was nothing short of incredible. We were able to snag seats at the bar since the restaurant was fully booked—reservations are highly recommended, as this is a smaller, intimate space that fills up quickly.

My partner ordered The Dylan, their most famous cocktail, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Raw pecans are lit on fire on an oak wine barrel stave, the smoke is used to wash the snifter, black cherry ice spheres are added, and then Heaven’s Door Tennessee Bourbon (Revival), house-made Madagascar vanilla bean syrup, and Peychaud’s Bitters are poured over top, finished with imported Italian black cherries. Not only was the presentation impressive, but the flavor was outstanding—easily one of the best cocktails he’s had. I ordered a mocktail (lemon juice and soda with lavender simple syrup), and as far as mocktails go, it was excellent.

An on-the-house cornbread pudding is provided as an appetizer. While I personally didn’t enjoy the texture, my partner liked it and finished it. That said, it’s not something we would specifically order if it weren’t complimentary.

For starters, we ordered the Baked Goat Cheese with pistachio and cranberry crust, local honey drizzle, and naan bread—and wow. It was absolutely delicious. I already love goat cheese, but even my partner (who typically doesn’t) was obsessed with this dish. I’m already planning to try recreating it at home.

For my entrée, I ordered the bone-in ribeye, and it was cooked to absolute perfection with a beautiful salt crunch. The steak is dry-aged a minimum of 29 days (typically closer to 32), and it may honestly be the best steak I’ve ever had. I can’t think of another that tops it. I paired it with the wild mushroom risotto, which was excellent, along with a blue cheese wedge salad that was cold, crisp, and refreshing. The bacon bits were freshly cooked and rich in flavor. I also ordered the French onion soup—deep, rich, and incredibly satisfying.

My partner ordered from the New Year’s menu and chose the braised short rib with creamy polenta, roasted Brussels sprouts, and red wine veal reduction. Calling it a “short” rib is an understatement—it was massive, incredibly tender, and truly melt-in-your-mouth. Easily the best short rib we’ve ever had. The polenta was slightly bland but still enjoyable, and the Brussels sprouts paired beautifully with the red wine veal reduction.

We were unfortunately too full for dessert, which is the only regret of the evening.

For his second drink, my partner ordered the Brier Fire. He really enjoyed it, though not quite as much as The Dylan. If you like a spicy, cinnamon-forward bourbon cocktail, this is definitely one to try.

Another standout feature is that The Greenbrier offers a curated selection of cigars that guests can enjoy on their outdoor patio. The patio is beautifully set up with a cozy fire pit, creating a relaxed and upscale atmosphere that’s perfect for unwinding after dinner. It’s a unique touch that really elevates the overall experience and makes the evening feel complete.

From the service to the atmosphere to the food, everything about this experience was exceptional. We will absolutely make it a point to reserve a table every time we visit the area. There truly isn’t another restaurant like this anywhere nearby—hands down the best dining experience in Gatlinburg!
