This place is awesome I had the pastitio and let me tell you it was the best dish I ever had in my life amd it was enough to eat for 2 days and there greek dinner salad is just top notch. Also to finish it of I had to have the rice pudding and the baklava me and my wife split them and it was so good and light not like some other desserts that just make you wanna throw up. Also cant forget how good the service was top notch. Best Greek food.

The Greek is as authentic as you’ll find anywhere. Home cooked style food that’s as good as you’ll find in the area. High quality plus priced right. Hard combination to beat, that’s why they’re the best.

I ordered take out here. I usually get greek food in my hometown in New haven but a coworker told me about this place a while ago but never took the time to find it until happenstance.

I ordered the gyro, potato wedges and the greek lemonade. The gyro was the best ive had. Probably the best in fairfield county. Friendly service.

The reason for a 4 and its not their fault is that its quite pricey, especially if you get the greek drinks. If the food is good, I dont mind paying. I will be back. Thanks again.

I’m not from New York and don’t have patients in Brookfield, but I love The Greek. Ordered take out tonight. Had gyros, souvlaki, falafel, hummus, and the salad. All were wonderful. The oregano was the perfect amount and the extra lemon and sauces allowed us to customize to our taste. The order was completed very quickly – we placed the order online, left immediately, and it was waiting for us when we arrived. Great price and we had plenty of leftovers for tomorrow.

If you think you’ve had great Greek food in Connecticut, go to The Greek in Bethel and recalibrate your expectations.
From the moment you walk in, you can feel the difference. The restaurant is spotless. Not just tidy — immaculate. The kind of clean that tells you the kitchen runs with discipline and pride. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the family who runs it greets you with genuine hospitality. You can see it in their faces. This is not just a business. This is their culture, their heritage, and their reputation on every plate.
Now the food.
I ordered the lamb gyro platter, and it was exactly what authentic Greek comfort food should be. The lamb was deeply savory, beautifully seasoned, and sliced generously. Tender, flavorful, and aromatic without being greasy or heavy. Every bite tasted balanced and intentional. This wasn’t fast-casual gyro. This was traditional, done right.
My wife had the Greek chicken Caesar, and it was outstanding. The chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, and seasoned with that unmistakable Mediterranean brightness. The greens were crisp, the flavors bold but clean. It felt fresh, not weighed down.
We shared the falafel appetizer, and it disappeared quickly. Crisp golden exterior, tender and herbaceous inside, properly seasoned with real depth. Not dry. Not bland. Exactly how falafel should taste.
Then came dessert.
The rice pudding was creamy and comforting, subtly sweet, and clearly house-made.
But the orange cake stole the night. Thin, delicate layers of phyllo soaked with honey and bright orange. Simple ingredients, flawless execution. It was light yet rich with citrus aroma, sweet but not overpowering. The kind of dessert that makes you pause mid-bite because it is that good. You do not rush this cake. You savor it.
What truly sets The Greek apart is the authenticity of their ingredients. They import nearly everything from Greece — herbs, spices, oils, vinegars. You can taste the difference immediately. The oregano has more fragrance. The olive oil has more character. The flavors are vibrant, alive, unmistakably Greek. This is not imitation. This is the real thing.
And the pride shows. The family running the restaurant clearly cares about every detail, from food quality to customer service. They are friendly, attentive, and genuinely appreciative of their guests. It feels personal.
We left full, happy, and already talking about what we would order next time.
If you are anywhere near Bethel and you love authentic Mediterranean food, do not hesitate. Go to The Greek. Bring an appetite. Order dessert. And prepare to find what is easily the best Greek food in the area.
We will absolutely be back.

First time at The Greek. My husband and I truly enjoyed our experience here. The food was delicious and tasted homemade. I especially loved their felafel balls and rice pudding. We stopped in for a quick snack but I will be back to try some more dishes. Everything looked great. The owner and employees were all lovely.

My second time at The Greek. I had one of their gyros the first time I was there and it was delicious.
Tonight I had their Bronzino special with rice and grilled brussel sprouts, delicious and reasonably priced for $18 compared to most other restaurants that overcharge.
The owner was very personable polite and made me laugh.
I’ll be back for sure!
