We found the Great Greek after other more expensive restaurants (without good reviews) couldn’t seat us. It’s located in a newer strip mall with plenty of parking. At around 6:40 PM there were few patrons, but many people taking their food to go. Food is listed on the screen above the cashiers. We got the gyro meat platter and the lamb skewers. They start out with a small salad which helps curve the hunger if you’re ravenous. The meat was delish, great tzatziki, and the feta fries…. Chef’s kiss. Had to refrain from destroying my husband’s plate of fries. By 7PM the tables were filling up with patrons, with additional people taking their orders to go. Clearly a local favorite. Would definitely be willing to return!

Went there around 6 pm. I ordered a chicken gyro with feta fries, but received a gyro with lamb instead. Never had lamb before, so I just went with it, but the food was not even warm. Just cold. The fries weren’t hot either. Like the cheese on top was hardened already and not melted at all. Also a lot of tables weren’t cleaned off. Overall, it was okay, but definitely not worth the price.

This spot was a hidden gem!!! We loved it!!! Everything was soooo good and fresh!! We will def be back!! The place is very clean and the staff are very friendly!! Can’t wait to visit again!
UPDATE: STILL AMAZING!!! Today was special! Unbeknownst to them, it was our 7-year wedding anniversary, and we were in Greece on our anniversary listening to live Greek music during our dinner. Today there was live music and we sat inside and ate and listened to the live music like we did 7 yrd ago! It was perfect! Place still clean and food still fresh!! Add the live music and were hooked!! 10 out of 10 stars!!!

We had a big event and decided to get the cater food from Great Greek. Andrew gave us great guidance on quantities and everything was prepared as scheduled. All of our guests really enjoyed everything.
The team always seems to have a good attitude and they are ready to serve.

The family and I went here over the weekend. We were really excited because of the great reviews. We walked in right at opening at 11:00 AM, ordered, and then waited and waited, and waited. It took 35 minutes for our food to come out and we were the second family in the door. Once we got the food, it was OK. I got a gyro, wife got lamb skewer and kid got chicken strips. All of our fries were luke warm, and the gyro and skewer were both dry. It was also $65 for that. Overall, I’d say it was both overpriced and underwhelming.

The food was better than some of the fancier Greek Restaurants I’ve been to! Would definitely recommend. Tender juicy protein – steak and shrimp Souvlaki skewers were On Point! with a nice grilled flavor. The Lemon Potatoes were delicious. The Romain lettuce was so fresh and crispy! And … The Rice Pudding was so creamy and divine!

My first time coming to this location and if it wasn’t for the kind young lady at the front, I would have given this place 1 star. She is the only person behind the counter that made me feel heard and seen. She was so overly kind and above and beyond and should be promoted. I came in on Sunday, early afternoon and had an awful experience. I don’t think I fit the complexion requirement for this establishment. The manager even turned his back on me and wiped his nose as I came up to the counter to make a second order. A young man came from the back and walked past me to bus tables and I stood there waiting at the counter until that young lady came and acknowledged me and took my second order. How does a manager stand behind the counter and turn his back on a customer and doesn’t even ask if there is anything he could help me with? The amount of money we spent there, I should have saved it for the Nexton location where I was actually treated like a person. This is not the way people should be treated especially in Mount Pleasant where the service should be top tier! Then, an off duty employee was also passive and was racing me to the front door to beat me and go in first when he came in. Didn’t even acknowledge me nor be kind enough to be a gentleman. He drives a white Mercedes and was parked right next to me. I feel bad for the cooks, I wonder how they are even treated.
