Gyro and fries were tasty in a clean and fresh way. Staff is very friendly. A nice place to grab a quick bite if you’re craving Mediterranean food.

I order today and the order has some missing items. The salads and the pita bread were missing. The items inside were cover with the potatoes oil. One of the falafel plates was smashed in a corner and the side of the lid was open. I called the restaurant to let them know about the missing items and see if they can deliver them. The answer was no. That the best Thing that they can do was to give me more food next time I make and order with them. Not happy I was very excited to try the food for my meeting. But his experience was not good. It was messy and the response that they give me was not the one that I expected.

I frequently host casual client meetings here. The atmosphere is conducive to conversation, and the menu offers excellent variety to suit any preference. The Salmon Plate is a healthy, impressive option, while the Mezze Plate is perfect for sharing. Consistently high-quality food and professional service make it a reliable choice.

I tried The Great Greek in College Park soon after it opened. We went to the restaurant, which is designed more for takeout, with a counter and stools for dining and a large counter for taking orders. I thought the food delicious and planned to eat there again in the future, likely doing delivery (they use the Toast app).

A relative passed away and we were hosting friends and family after the service at our house. We decided catering would be easier than potluck or trying to offer food ourselves. We checked some local places but few offered weekend delivery and a menu we felt would appeal to a range of individuals.

I reached out to The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill College Park, MD and they said that they did offer catering and were available for weekend delivery. They invited us to visit the store to try the food and in person discuss our event, the size, etc.

When we arrived, they had a meal ready for us to try what they felt would be best for a buffet. They offered helpful suggestions like how chicken would stay soft for a buffet while lamb and steak could get tough. We found the prices quite reasonable, as was the delivery fee (we live within 10 miles of the store).

The food was delivered almost on time (I don’t blame them, GPS to where we live is always wrong). We had more than enough food and is was served in disposable aluminum trays. Salad dressing was offered in one of those large ketchup squeeze bottles, and we had chicken souvlaki, rice, pita, tzatziki, hummus, and their Greek salad with all the trimmings.

Everyone raved about the food. It was easy to eat when sitting around a living room and backyard, it stayed tasty even while sitting out as a buffet, and made fantastic leftovers.

The Great Greek College Park followed up the first business day after the event to check to see if we were satisfied and we were. Everything was perfect, from taste to customer service.

Just had the best lunch! The Four Dip Combo with pita is a MUST. The Tzatziki is so fresh, and the Tirokafteri has the perfect kick. Finished with Baklava Ice Cream – heavenly! This place never disappoints.

This was my first time trying the food at this new place. I ordered the gyro. The cashier gave me the options to choose what kind of meat I’d like on the gyro I picked the lamb which btw is an extra 2 dollars. He asked how I wanted the meat cooked I told the cashier well done. I sat inside in one of the stools they have and after about 30 minutes of waiting which I’d like to add that the cashier told me it was gonna be a Total of 5 to 8 minute wait. No one was at the counter I grabbed the attention of a guy in the back who I think was cooking. Turns out my gyro was ready. And I had been there waiting for 30 freaking minutes. My back was facing the cash register so no one working there had the audacity to hollar at me saying my order is ready. I will also add that when I was waiting on the stools a man walked in to order and no one was at the register this man had to hollar for someone at least twice for someone to come from out the back and take his order. Keep in mind this is all around 11:40am and it’s not busy. This is not a good look. Now to my gyro. I gotta say I was disappointed. Firstly, the gyro I ordered looks nothing like gyro I see on the menu. The picture of the gyro looked more fuller with a green chilly which mine didn’t come with. Was lacking on the white sauce. My lamb wasn’t cooked well done like I asked it was still pink inside the meat. I will say tho, that the flavor of the meat was decent. Was lacking red onions. For this business to keep stable and have good reviews they need to make sure someone is at the register to take peoples orders and communicate to each other and to the customer when the food is ready! Overall I give this place a 2 and a half star experience.

I read about this restaurant in the Hyattsville Wire and saw that it has good reviews. I love Greek food, and the restaurant is conveniently located, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a Great Greek Gyro with chicken breast, and Feta Fries. It was a lot of food. The gyro was hearty and delicious, and the chicken breast was in generous chunks. I would buy it again. I got the fries more out of curiosity, and I won’t get them again. Feta cheese doesn’t melt, so it sat in clumps on top of the fries. They weren’t appetizing. The menu has several items that sound good, so I look forward to visiting again.

It’s a nice small restaurant with tables and chair in and outside to eat at. However the bathroom were very dirty and unsanitary. I order a Great Greek Gyro Chicken with no Onions and French Fries on the side. The food wasn’t bad, it was tasty but not the best. The lady working there was welcoming and nice. Not sure if I will return!

Here can can find the most uneventful food ever. No spice, no quality packaging for to go orders and certainly no warm meal. My gyro tasted right out the fridge. Prices are redic for what you are getting. And the cheapie napkins and forks they give are a joke.

Place was empty the whole 20min we waited for our cold food. That really should have been my first clue because it is a busy college campus within a short walk. Never again.

Pretty typical Greek joint with gyros etc. Staff was friendly and the food came out pretty quick. Good serving size and overall decent food. There is some seating inside but it doesn’t exactly scream “sit down”.
