Been getting the chopped chicken salad for years. Today it was not as good. Seems like they’ve changed the lettuce they are using and it does not taset the same. Disappointed. I had a salad a week ago from a different location, and I thought maybe the chicken was bad and I didn’t even finish it. Today was the same. Don’t know if I’ll be back for the salad anymore.

I stopped here on my home for some pumpernickel bagels and scallion cream cheese. Through so I did ask if they had pumpernickel bagels when I pulled up. The person yelled do we have pumpernickel bagels and a man replied yes. It’s amazing to me that they own a bagel shop and don’t know the difference between pumpernickel and Rye,when there’s clearly a big difference. Just be honest. Yeah maybe I wouldn’t have taken home 6 for my freezer, But I would’ve been a lot less pissed off! Clearly darker and NO rye seeds Definitely disappointed.

The Great American Bagel offers delicious bagels and breakfast sandwiches. On the whole i love the place.
I tried the BLT on a cheddar jalapeno bagel – the savory cheese and slight spice of the bagel perfectly complemented the BLT. For a sweeter option, the banana nut bagel with strawberry cream cheese was amazing – a delightful combination of textures and flavors.
On this particular visit the staff seemed a little short and frustrated, which is out of the ordinary. I have a feeling it was because I was asking some question about the options, my English accent can be a little difficult to understand for some people. But there hasn’t been an issue previously.
They seemed even more frustrated when I left a 10% tip, which honestly I felt wasn’t really warranted. I get better service in Europe without the option to tip.

Resturant and food are excellent. Do not order through the site. DoorDash is a rip off! I ordered the Wednesday special 13 bagels @ 12.59. When I thought I was placing the order at the store, it was in door dash and they charged $18.97 and will not issue a credit. Be careful placing your order. Call the store so they get the credit instead of DOOR DASH.

I went to American Bagel for breakfast yesterday and ordered a B.L.T. bagel. Very friendly staff. However, I arrived at my destination only to find my lettuce was wilted, old, and had black spots on it. How do you give someone old lettuce at all, but especially on a bagel that costs that much? I went as a treat because it had been a while. Now I’m going to check every order before I leave, so I can get my money back right then and there. I was thoroughly disappointed and disgusted. I hardly ever leave reviews, but I had to this time.

Bilingual customer service, fantastic sandwiches and fresh ingredients make this tiny corner restaurant a pleasant place to spend one’s lunch break (they close quite early). The latte is mostly milk so be well aware but it’s delicious so enjoy!

The food is good but what is really outstanding is the service. Very, very friendly and even when they are busy will go out of their way to get your order to you quickly and correct. As everyone knows I’m sure, that is a very rare thing these days and I hope they never change.
