Awesome dining experience. This is the Best Bang for your buck. We went before the lunch special was about to end the salad Bar & all the other food Bars are Great. CLEAN AND WELL STOCKED. Cheyenne was Awesome. She took our order and ensured that any thing we needed was taken care of. I can not say enough about the dining experience.

Was staying at the Quality Inn, and this is adjacent, so went for dinner around 6pm on a Sunday in October. Lots of people there, and it’s a huge restaurant. I was seated immediately, and opted for the salad bar. The only meat there was ground beef to go in tacos, and I had a couple servings of that, plus lots of veggies and pasta. They also serve some warm sweet bread with butter complimentary to start. The waitress was very friendly, and the entire staff was very courteous. There are 4 full rows of items available in the salad bar, so plenty to choose from. The decor inside is all railroad stuff and I found it very interesting. Great experience, and before tips, it only cost around 13 bucks.

Food was ok. Servers were rude. Steak delivered to my table cold. Prepared food on the salad bar did not taste good to me. Kind of dingy and not much railroad stuff displayed. But 25.00 for steak, salad bar, drnk and tip, is not bad.

Stopped here while in town for the weekend. Very good food. I haven’t seen a potato bar in years It was simple and quite tasty.

The salad bar was also a nice sight to see. The steak was very good and cooked as ordered. Very busy place but good was brought out in a decent amount of time.

Definitely recommend if you’re in Roanoke.

Fabulous salad bar and fresh hot yeast rolls! We typically stick with the salad bar as a meal but the entree choices are very good as well. Parking can get challenging at times but so worth the effort. Love all the roanoke and train station memorabilia!

This place is great, the servers are nice and very thoughtful. The food is good and about what you’d expect, but the real reason I go is the prices. You get SUCH a good deal with the food you get. You can spend 7$ and eat like a king from the salad bar ALONE. I find myself loading myself up on tacos and having to bring my entree home. Also their ice cream is absurdly good so don’t eat too much of it. Great place, love it.

Great selection of many food items. Came from out of town and decided to give it a try. Glad we did! Salad bar had many options. Steak was good and cooked Great! Cool concept… order your meat then have unlimited salad bar and baked potato toppings. Dessert is limited items. Price was pretty reasonable.

Went for the “pig em out” buffet early on Easter when it was not overly crowded. Everything on the salad bar and hot food bar was fresh, and the service was excellent. The food quality was fair and filling. If you’re looking for gourmet dining, this is not the place to dine, but for great salad selections, comfort foods (mac. & cheese, green beans with bacon, boiled seasoned cabbage) and country dishes (pinto beans & cornbread, stewed tomatoes) this is the place to come. I especially like the chicken, tuna and seafood salads, and fresh fruit selection. You can make your own taco or enjoy fried potato skins. The yeast rolls brought to the table were very fresh, hot, and delicious, especially with the sweet butter supplied. There were also some fair, fresh made and commercial desserts (cakes, cookies, pudding), good potato toppings (sour cream, cheese, steamed broccoli etc) and chilli or soup. The restaurant supplied gloves to wear as you served yourself. As we were leaving, the dining room was filling up fast. As it was Easter, our bill came with surprise chocolates! The price is fair for the quantity, with fair quality, and a great family place.

Had the lunch buffet, and it was fresh and delicious as usual. The service was good and the wait staff were smiling and helpful. This place is fast becoming one of the most economical places to lunch in the area. The Weiner Stand combo is now $8.99, so here you get more nutritional and delicious food, all u care to eat, for almost the same price. Really enjoyed the pinto beans and cornbread today…can’t beat the freshness, variety, and price for lunch!

5/8/22 Back for Mother’s Day Lunch. We arrived a few minutes before opening at 11 a.m., and there were already about 25 people in line to get in. Everyone was orderly and did not rush entry. The many diners were seated quickly, and orders were taken. It was very busy during our entire stay, with many many in line to get in about 12:30 pm as we were leaving. I did not see any diners wearing a mask. Plastic gloves were provided at the food bar to help reduce the spread of possible viruses or bacteria. The food bar was delicious as usual, with everything fresh and hot/cold as needed. The wait staff were very busy but were efficient, and our server stopped by our table in a timely manner. The food bar was constantly filled with diners, and the cook staff kept up with the need. This is definitely the most economic restaurant in Roanoke today, with tasty dining choices on the food bar or choose a steak or potato bar. Everything is good!

Still good food, excellent service, and since it was Sunday, totally packed! Had to wait for others to leave to find a parking spot, but getting a table was no problem. The kitchen and staff handled the big crowd with ease, and they did not seem to be understaffed. Ate too much as usual. The rolls were too hot to touch when brought to the table. Selection of food is great!

Always a great place for an economical lunch, and you won’t leave hungry! Arrived a little before noon, and the restaurant was packed but had immediate seating available. It was busy the entire time we dined and left over an hour later. The waitstaff were wonderful, and checked back with us regularly. The food was fresh, hot, or cold as needed, with a wide variety to choose from.
Tasty lunch, fair food, great price, good service!

The ribeye steak was tough and grisly… The tast of the clear parts was good. It was the 14 oz so I wonder if the 9 oz would have been better. The salad bar was good.
