There was a hair on my food tray. It really grossed me out. I was already home and had the stomach. The fact that it could have been a pubic hair. I scooped the food onto a plate carefully not to touch that hair.

I was excited to try this place. Everything was so good just super super salty. I didn’t finish my gumbo or greens because the salt just over powered it. My daughter didn’t like the Mac n cheese. We all tired it and it Kind of tasted like Socks. No homemade cheese detected. The service was nice and quick overall. I don’t think I’ll be a returning customer.

smothered ox tails and cabbage = Amazing! Plus some gumbo. so good! Rich, deep flavor sticking to my soul! the cornbread was like dessert! One serving fed me and my girl, and had some leftover! and apparently, I need to come on Saturday of get those smoked ox tails!

This place never misses. Everything is good. My go to is the oxtails, Mac and cheese, and cabbage. I have also tried multiple other made to order and grab and go items. Everything is good. If I could afford to I would never cook at home bc this taste like really good home cooked meals.

The Greasy Spoon is a cozy diner that delivers classic comfort food done right. Breakfast plates are hearty, burgers are flavorful, and everything feels freshly made. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with friendly service that makes you feel at home. Affordable prices, generous portions, and simple, satisfying meals make it a great spot for a relaxed bite anytime.

This was my second trying this establishment. I actually appreciate the food this time. I like that nothing was overly seasoned like other Soul Food restaurants.

I got the pork chop meal with rice , collard greens, and sweet potatoes. It was perfectly seasoned. Nothing was salty and the sweet potatoes were perfect.

I was surprised that I didn’t get 2 pork chops though. All the other soul food restaurants give you 2 pork chops.

Other than that, it was a pleasant visit. The staff didn’t have any enthusiasm though. I almost felt like I was bothering them when I went in to place my order.

Tried this spot for the first time yesterday and it was pretty good!! I didn’t really care for the cabbage(it may have had sugar in it) but everything else was delicious!

Ordered three dinners, oxtail, porkchop and catfish. The smoked oxtail dinner was well proportioned. The catfish was not, definitely not worth the price. You only get one porkchop with the dinner. Pork is the least priced cut of meat. This was my third time trying this place. I thought like the saying; “Third time the charm”. Nope, we did not like the cabbage nor green beans at all they lacked in seasoning big time. The mac & cheese was decent. I paid $77 dollars, and none of us were satisfied. Also, on the website it shows we was suppose to receive corn bread with all meals while supplies last. We didn’t get any and it was close to 2pm, they opened at 11a. So they must have had a huge crowd before I arrived. Don’t think that I will be returning.

Sigh … I set a scheduled delivery in anticipation for this food today via Uber Eats. I have never been so disappointed. The greens are so salty to point, where they are not inedible! Oxtail CHEWY and not seasoned! I can’t believe I ordered a $100 worth of food for my family and it’s not even mediocre! Lord help, smh.
Only thing manageable is the cornbread and Mac n cheese!

When I tell y’all I’ll be back, I will most definitely be back. Food was amazing! A variety to choose from. I had their Cajun fried chicken wings (cook to order) with some yams, mac n cheese, greens, cornbread, and gumbo. Wings were cooked to perfection & juicy! Great bold flavors. The mac n cheese was a little too runny for my likings. Now my only complaint but won’t affect my rating was their gumbo. It was on the salty side. Lastly, they only had two kinds of drinks to sell which was Pepsi & Mountain Dew. Luckily you can get something next door at the gas station and bring it in. I didn’t wait too long for my food which was a plus knowing it was cook to order. Service was okay as in not rude nor super attentive. Otherwise everything was good.

Also, cashless facility.
