St Andrews is sadly lacking in seriously good restaurants therefore the short trip up the road to The Grange Inn is absolutely essential. Absolutely delicious food cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Lovely staff and a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Looking forward to our next visit.

The best meal we had in Scotland. Multi course meal with choices. Service was really great; their timing was excellent and they created a relaxed feeling meal. Excellent whiskey selection as well. Will be back!! Highly recommend the sea trout.

Wow totally worth the 20 minute walk from our air bnb into the country. Lovely £77 for 3 course menu with a few choices for each course. You also get in between courses which was unexpected. Setting stunning, food amazing and the service to make it a complete experience.

Visited for dinner on Thursday night as we were staying at the Old Course hotel for our Anniversary. This was a highlight of our trip and we’ve been raving about this to everyone since! Perfect for a special occasion.
It was only us and one other couple in the restaurant. However, the ambience was perfect – fire was on, the views were awesome and the guy serving us was an absolute delight – great banter and very attentive – a huge asset to the restaurant! It felt like a private dining experience. Although it is a 3 course menu, there’s a few extras in between – canapes, palate cleanser and bread (don’t think we’ve ever eaten so much bread…. but it was sooo good!). Every dish was perfection! And who knew dumpling and goats cheese went so well together?! Also loved the wee touch of the “Happy Anniversary” plate of treats. I could go on forever about how much we loved our visit.
Highly recommend and would give waaaay more than 5 stars if we could. We will be back. Keep up the amazing work and don’t change…. there’s nowhere else like this!

Was here 4 years ago when I dropped my son off at uni. Just had his grad dinner here as well – booked it 6 mths in advance. One of the best places in the area. As always top quality food, generous portions, fantastic service. There were plans to add some rooms which would be awesome. Dessert out in the garden with the view !

We had a lot of great food on our recent 14 day trip but none better than our dinner at The Grange Inn. The food was amazing but the overall experience made it one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We will definitely be back!

Booked lunch here on a recommendation, and it was very good. The food was excellent and none of our party could fault it. The starters, mains, pan seared trout Tofu, beef and pork dishes were all lovely. The warm date & ginger cake was mmm. All enjoyed their lunch.
Prior to our meal we also had a look at the sea-scapes by David Joy. He was doing a painting in his garden next to the restaurant and we had a wonderful chat with him. A talented artist amongst other things.
A very nice afternoon with great views over St Andrews.

We had heard good things, but the experience was a beyond our expectations! My dad booked The Grange Inn as a surprise for our honeymoon, and it is easily the highlight so far – the service was phenomenal, and the food out of this world! Our courses were divine, and we loved the extras like bread fresh from the oven, the canapés and intermediaries. If you think the photos are good, just wait until you taste it! Utterly divine.
