The food was lovely and the staff went above and beyond to make it a special meal for the whole family, paying lots of attention to our 7 month old daughter. There was a pleasant and relaxed atnosphere that wasn’t noisy considering it was a Saturday evening. We have been to, and reviewed a lot of indian restaurants but this one is exceptional. We will definitely be back and I would recommend it to anyone in the Milton Keynes area.
Before booking, he called the restaurant twice to confirm that you could safely cater for someone with coeliac disease. On arrival, he again spoke with waiting staff and was reassured multiple times including checks with the chef that the dish he ordered was gluten free.
It was not.
Within hours of getting home, he became extremely unwell. Today, he remains very sick. This situation was entirely avoidable.
Coeliac disease is an autoimmune condition with very serious short- and long-term consequences. When a customer clearly communicates a medical requirement and seeks repeated confirmation, there is an expectation that the information provided is accurate and that appropriate food safety procedures are followed.
Your team are clearly not fully trained to understand the severity of coeliac disease and the importance of strict gluten-free preparation (including cross-contamination controls), you should not be assuring customers that meals are safe. Nor should you be accepting bookings from coeliac guests if you cannot cater for them safely.
This has been an extremely distressing experience for our family, and I hope you urgently review your training, kitchen protocols, and communication procedures to ensure no one else goes through this. I will be calling later when you open to understand what measures you’ll be taking as a result.
Every component felt fresh and distinct, not just the same base sauce for every meat. For the price, the amount of food and the quality of the spices are unbeatable. It’s the perfect way to sample the best of the menu in one sitting. Our family really enjoyed our meal..
