Reviews
The Grand Tier is a very elegant restaurant and a perfect complement to an evening at Lincoln Center. The menu is refined and absolutely worthy of fine dining, with thoughtful flavors and strong technique.
That said, the execution on some starters felt a bit less fresh than expected — more pre-prepared than made to order — which slightly took away from the culinary experience at this level.
Where The Grand Tier truly excels is service and timing. The staff is impeccable: efficient, attentive, and incredibly well organized. Everything is designed around the rhythm of the performance, allowing guests to enjoy a proper meal without ever feeling rushed — which is no small feat.
The highlight of the evening was our waiter’s suggestion to return during intermission for dessert — a warm chocolate soufflé, served perfectly. It was outstanding and turned a great evening into a memorable one.
Yes, it’s expensive — but as a special occasion or once-in-a-lifetime experience tied to a performance, it’s absolutely worth it.
PS. Get the prix fixe meal. I had the cannelloni for an appetizer, angus beef for dinner, and the soufflé for dessert!

We ordered 2 appetizers, 1 salad and a salmon dish with 1 glass of wine.
The bill was $215.00. The appetizers were fair not wonderful, the salmon dish was so so. The glass of wine had a weak pour. With tip it was over $250.00. We did leave a decent tip, wasn’t her fault that the pricing was out of line.
Don’t eat here, get a drink at the bar and go out afterwards, somewhere you can get what you want and not be disappointed and feel ripped off.
