I booked this place far in advance I’m order to ask my closest friends to be part of my bridal party. I called to make sure that I’d be able to take the favor boxes (medium-sized) to the tea room. I was told yes, and received a response of happy emotion or at least a sense of congratulations. It’s important to mention that I was already in contact with another tea room and they had already offered the same, but this location was a lot closer and I wanted to ignore the reviews.

Fast-forward to the date: I arrive, I bring the boxes, and I’m received with confusion. The person I checked in with told me I could not place the boxes down due to limited space. I explained that I had called in advance before booking and they said. “Well. Usually people bring small favors” which is why I called in advance to specify. They then suggested that we open our gift outside or open them quick and place them elsewhere. We ended up being able to place them on a bench and opened them right before our reservation ended. On top of that, they made sure to remind us that we only had 5 minutes left. Of course everyone was emotional and we had to just grab our boxes and head out.

In terms of the service, it was a fine experience, but we found ourselves having to constantly ask for things, more tea, and it kept feeling like we were bothering them.

I always try to give places the benefit of the doubt, and I’m not upset I tried this place out, but I just won’t be back.

Very fun experience. All the teas we tried were great. We had a group of 12 and they were able to accommodate us. The sandwiches, quiche and scones were delicious. The desserts were the perfect size and were delicious as well.

We loved this experience. First time here, and I must say, It was a beautiful afternoon with great service and even better food. The selection of teas is extensive. The teas we chose were wonderful. We bought some loose leaf teas to bring home. We will definitely be back.

I ordered tea sandwiches, savory and sweets for my granddaughter’s Anne of Green Gables themed birthday party. The Grand Tea Room was so wonderful to deal with, supplying a tiered serving tray and directions on how to heat the savory. Everything was delicious! I was happy to hear that they weren’t negatively impacted by the Grand Avenue construction and are very happy with the results. Parking was so easy and they have more outdoor seating now. I’m looking forward to taking my granddaughter to tea and to see The Little Princess in a few weeks!

I was lucky to have my bridal shower here and it was amazing. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and made sure everything went well. The owner and her daughter were amazing! The staff amazing! I highly recommend you host your next event here. I’m a frequent customer and recommend this place to all my girlfriends. Best High Tea in San Diego.

I took my 3 and 6 year old daughters here with my husband. We had a wonderful time. Some tea rooms have strict rooms on ages, but this place will allow younger kids. My girls are well behaved. The food is delicious and I was amazed at how well they were able to accommodate me being dairy-free. They also have hats and headbands you can wear while having tea. We had a really good time and will definitely come back!

We went here on a recommendation from our daughter. I expected this to be a place only woman go to, but to my surprise I loved this experience! First off it is unique. I haven’t done a tea tasting like this before. We had two hours from 11 to 1 at a reserved table. You can’t get in without a reservation. During this time you can try all there teas, which is extensive. Then they serve you small amounts of food but by the time we were done, we were all full. The experience started with a mixed fruit dish with cream, so fresh. Then a soup, we choose tomato basil, it was delicious. Then the small snack flight started. Small sandwiches. Loved the chicken salad, then scones, small velvet cake, and other snacks. If your a foodie you will love this place!!!

Always love taking my mom and sister here for a cute little luncheon! They have so many different teas to choose from, and the tea sandwiches are delicious! It might seem like a small amount of food but I am always full after the fruit salad, soup, tea sandwiches, scones, and dessert tray (it’s more than enough! We always have leftovers we take home). I truly cannot recommend this place enough, if you are looking for a cutesy place with Bridgerton vibes, this is definitely worth it.
