The food here was excellent! I came here with my fiancé and family for the first time and we couldn’t have been more satisfied. We were seated promptly and the food arrived within a normal waiting time, as expected. The service add was friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming! I would recommend this place to anyone!

The place looks absolutely amazing, very stylish and elegant. They have a nice bar and a big tank full of exotic fish that catch your eye. The food was excellent and the appetizer big enough for three people (we ordered calamari). The only thing we didn’t like was the young boy working in the front, who was very confused and didn’t really know when and how to give us a table. The waiting time was good, compared to other places we’ve tried to go before. Overall it was a nice experience and we are glad we choose this place, definitely going again.

Went tonight for dinner and live jazz. I had a dirty martini and a Thai chopped salad and my husband had a spiced Manhattan and a burger. Both meals and drinks were very good and the jazz was really enjoyable. We’ve been here a half dozen times now and have had good experiences each time. The atmosphere at night is dark and romantic, the staff is very professional and the food has been quite good.

We chose the Grand On our last night of a vacation trip to Grand Haven. The outdoor seating was nice as it was cool and you could watch people walk by. The service was prompt and polite. We ordered the seafood pasta and a salad with grilled salmon. The food was good. Generous portions and a nice menu selection. The chairs were uncomfortable so that became a distraction. I’d go again and try the sushi as they had a nice selection of interesting rolls.

We randomly chose this place. It is extremely dark in the restaurant I think they could make it a bit lighter in there. But let’s talk food…
The Perch and chips meal- overall was good not great. The pineapple coleslaw was warm to hot temperature and left a horrible taste in my mouth and yet I didn’t taste any pineapple.
The Perch sandwich- was actually the best thing we ate. Besides all the fries being room temperature the sandwich was really good. It was loaded with perch strips and was hot. I would eat that again.
Mahi Mahi- I personally did not like the flavor combinations with the onions. The risotto was good but could of used some salt. The Mahi tasted poached with no extra flavor more bland. I’m guessing they want you to make sure to fork the onion and risotto with the fish as one bite to mix the flavors up. I had a few bites and decided to stick with the perch sandwich.
Overall, if you are going to be somewhat pricey restaurant the fries should be warm to hot at least. I think this would be a good place for a date but not somewhere I would actually go again.

Located in an old state theater, this restaurant offers an interesting atmosphere.. lights dim and limited seating available, we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Ordered sushi, oysters and wine and were pleased with all of it. The waitress we had was really helpful not only in our dining experience but also with some questions we had about lodging and camping nearby.

Food and drinks are top notch here, great place for fine dining with a classic theater atmosphere. Service is prompt and classy, food is fresh and hot. We spent nearly $100.00 with tip, and it was worth every penny.

We’re not sushi eaters so can’t rate that but everything we had there was excellent and refreshingly creative. The meal begins with great bread (the only restaurant of the 3 we went to which supplied bread). The house greens salad is not your ordinary house salad and wonderfully presented. Crab cakes were great. Halibut prepared with BBQ and salsa was surprisingly delicious. Next time I had the black and blue salad which was a meal for me and my husband had the perch. This was definitely the best restaurant at which we ate in Grand Haven. You can tell the chef really takes pride in the quality and presentation.

No, no, no! The hostess was nice but the server was NOT. We were the first customers of the day and she made us feel like we were an imposition to her. She treated the second set of customers with more respect, told them her name, drink and food specials. Our server took the bread after did not offer refils of our drinks. The BREAD WAS WONDERFUL…food was NOT a winner to me. We had Lobster Bites (my husband enjoyed), Shrimp and Lobster Risotto and Clam Chowder which both had a STRONG overbearing THYME flavor. The server asked me how they were, I told her, she saw they were barely eaten and never offered a substitute or apology. She just took the plates and my bread away and brought the bill. We still tipped 20% but will never spend another dime there.
The atmosphere was very dark but kind of romantic. Service turned me off…we will not ever go back.

Whitefish was tasty. Salads were good. Little dark inside but still nice.
